Been looking for a clip of his goal vs Spurs when he hit that beauty at the end of the match but cant find anything. Does anyone know of a link anywhere? It has to go down as one of my all time fave mentals, as they totally battered us but couldn't get past Simmo, and when he hit that late goal I thought I would die a happy man that day.

Fantastic day that was mate and they should have had a penalty as well with the last kick of the match when Diao fouled someone which made it alot sweeter as well.Alot of unhappy cockneys on the station after as well which made it even better.

Brilliant mate cheers. Also at 5.25, what would we give for that tomorrow. Another sensational mental when Fuller buried that goal.

Look back at the first 3 seasons and you realise it wasn't about goals as such with Fuller...he created so much for others. Was the goal against West Ham away in there? God, I miss him!

Brilliant, just brilliant. Where has that excitement gone? It seems to have been lost because expectations have gone sky high. Some gems in there that I had completely forgotten about

Fuller has rightly got a mention, but Simmo was absolutely immense that day, probably his best game in a Stoke shirt, NOTHING was getting past him that day.

I bet he pissed in Sorensens Powerade because he must have just felt like an unbeatable sheer wall of domination when he woke up that morning.

God what I'd do for fuller up front tomorrow night! That goal at west ham was just pure class and if it was messi pundits would still be raving about it! Also in that clip something that is forgotten was how well Beattie took a penalty! Got be one of the best I've seen in a stoke shirt at taking one

Some gems in there that I had completely forgotten about Are expectations really 'sky high'? Nobody's demanding Champions League. The excitement's gone because there's been precious little to get excited about on the pitch for a while now.

Its human nature to want more, we've established ourselves now, not for one minute do I think we'll go down, despite the doom and gloom. However, I feel we sort of hit a peak in the 2nd and 3rd year, solid performance league wise in the second season and a great cup run in the 3rd. Overall the football on offer seemed better during our 3rd season, although we leaked a few more goals too.
Only a month ago we were all bangin on about how good this new way of playin looked, its come un stuck a little, seemed to look good against the bigger sides, but lacks the intent against the mid table/lower league teams.
I will try and remain on the fence for now, see how things pan out, the idea really should be the better players we get and the more depth we have, the more options we have with regards to formations and tactics.....so there should be times where we revert back to the 4 4 2, play down the flanks with Walters playing in an advanced role, as opposed to a deep lying forward,m as with the 3rd season
Just seems Tone is set with Playin Walters out wide with 3 in the middle, regardless of opposition

I remember getting to my seat and hearing Simo was starting and I was slagging him off saying he was going to get smashed. I certainly ate my words at the final whistle.

Simo was brilliant. They all were that day. Crouch's header was right in line where I was sitting so when Beattie miraculously appeared to overhead kick it off the line it was like a special effect in a film or something! ;D

I'm sure I remember Diao playing well too. Either way one of my favourite aways. I think Whelan made an appearance on the wing and Lennon chucked a mardy.

The video also showed how forward thinking Ethers was too, either running at players with the ball or getting on the end of loose balls in the box... He's changed these days... The injury taken more effect than we thought?

Cracking reminder of some entertainment - and goals!
I took my 10 year old twin sons to Spurs literally at the last minute. I rang the Spurs ticket Office on the Saturday morning, explained that I didn't have any tickets, but it was no problem to get them at the ground.
The Wife dropped us off at Stoke station at mid-day and we were at the ground for 2.15pm!
So many players would have gone down when Ric was caught by by their left back, but he kept his feet and played the most perfect pass to Glen's right boot. Daylight robbery, but fooking great!
Caught the 1st train home, the Wife picked us up and we were home for the X-Factor! My kids described the day as "perfect"!
