Anyone else noticed?
We have the joint best defensive record in the Prem (with Man City). Only ten goals conceded so far.
Our defensive record is better than Man U and Chelsea and twice as good as Spurs.
Tone must be creaming himself.

We are Top 6 without the ball and Bottom 3 with it.

We are Top 6 without the ball and Bottom 3 with it. Sky Sports subscribers will definitely be getting their money's worth on Monday Night then. I predict lots of goal mouth action and flowing football.

I'd gladly sacrifice a couple of clean sheets for some more goals.

Might have something to do with never committing players forward (except for set pieces)

Might have something to do with never committing players forward (except for set pieces) Just making the exact same point on another thread. Having identified a need to score more goals its absolutely baffling to see our striker with even less support than he had before it was accepted our goal scoring record needed to improve. Perhaps our players were crowding him.

You stated that having the best defence is because of binary football and yet Man City had the best defence last season whilst scoring loads.

So the manager and his coaching pygmies can organise a flat back 8. Well done.
Problem is he hasn't a clue at the other end of the pitch despite spending 10's of millions of pounds. Going forward we are a disorganised shambles.

Hardly a shocking stat though is it OP???
Another surprising fact. If you don't leave the house when it's raining, you won't get wet!!!

It's a fine line. Look at teams like man united and Chelsea. I wouldn't have their defences given me. They have to score at least two a week to win a game, quite often three.
We don't look like conceding so in most games just have to put one of the chances away to win it. I bet united and Chelsea fans are just as fed up of having to keep letting goals in to get them going.
I certainly wouldn't want us to be as wide open as them two are at the back. Everytime a team attacks us we think they're going to score. I remember that with boskamp.
We just need to put one or two of the chances away and things will turn the corner. Like WBA, who have two shots on goal and win. Spend the rest of the game camped in their own half and scrape through. It's how it goes some seasons. Ask Newcastle from last season having west broms good form and luck and now getting booed.
