I've got a 28" TV that I need to mount on the wall. Looking at ebay I can get a suitable bracket to attach it to a wall for a very decent price (sub £10). The descriptions say suitable for upto 23" TVs, with a max weight of 15kg. I've weighed my TV - it's just under 8kg. So would this type of bracket (where the TV is larger than the stated size, but the weight is a lot less), be OK?
Advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

buy the next size up so if you increase the size of your tele you have the correct bracket.
the smaller bracket although may take the weight it wont have the correct bracket plate with screws

You need to check the spacing of the holes in the back of the TV to check the "VESA" size. Then make sure the bracket is compatible. The sizing will be something like 100 x 100, 150 x 150, or 200 x 200. If you have a Homebargains near you they are selling a really good one for around £15. Tell me the name of the TV and link the bracket and tell you if it will fit or not. Basically it can take the weight so if the VESA size is compatible it will be fine.

Got mine from tesco for £12, its the same size you need, it would be a waste of money buying one for smaller TVs.

Thanks all. Think it's Vesa 100.
