I see the Sentinel sees we're expecting 'well over 20k' - surely it would be a disgrace to do anything other than sell out?? (Sky is irrelevant - it would be like not going to the FA Cup final 'cos it's on tv'!)
Any ideas how many are sold?
Or whether the 'away end' is all for BC fans, or if Stokies are allowed in there too??

About 21, 500 I reckon and then depending on how things stand on the last day, around 24,000 for the Leicester game.

If it wasn't on sky I'd realistically expect 24k at least. They're going to bring a few thousand as well lets not forget.
With it being on SKY it will have an affect on the attendance, I'd still expect (or should that be 'hope') at least 20k.

21k, I will be pleased with that. Numbers wise, enough to make a difference to the team! Tony Scholes on Radio Stoke at lunchtime said that they restricted Bristol City's allocation, so that they wouldn't have 5000 fans shouting for them, as we are the home team, and want to maximise home advantage as much as possible.

madstokie, don't forget some of us live well away from the area so it's hard to justify spending all the money involved in travelling and tickets for a game that's on Sky (especially if you've got Sky Sports like I have), especially when it's not the absolute decider. A Cup Final would be completely different, I'd probably sell my own mother to get a ticket!! Does this point of view mean I'n not a "proper" supporter

If we cant sell out for a game as big as this then we never will...... until all the part times turn up next season for united and arsenal!

Or whether the 'away end' is all for BC fans, or if Stokies are allowed in there too?? If BC are limited to around 2K, then surely a decent section of the South Stand could be allocated to Stokies by the tunnel? The stewards could easily leave a wide netted off section between the two sets of fans and put say 800-1000 Stokies by the tunnel. Oh and for once, could we allow fans right up to the end of the John Smiths? That way both sides of the tunnel would be flanked by Stokies. I've noticed that even for the bigger attendances, "someone" seems to be loathe to let fans go right by the end wall of the JS lower. We need to use all the tricks possible in the run-up and especially for Saturday's match.

some owd bloke in the queue at the brit today said bristol c have asked for more tickets but been denied, which restricts them to either 2250 or 2500, i forget which he said. i doubt the south stand will be open to stokies. i reckon this one will be heavily policed and trouble expected with what happened at bristol earlier on this season. ive spoke to a couple of our nob head contingent and they predict fireworks. hopefully this will blow their cover. haha.

Another broke student here going anyway from Leicester. Won't be back to about midnight due to trains being replaced by buses and hour long wait at 1 station. I have no sympathy for anyone in Stoke not going.

On Radio Stoke, Tony Scholes says he does not want Bristol City to have any more tickets because he wants the majority of the noise to come from us Stokies. He wants a strong vocal home crowd that supports the team from the kick off. We need to get down on Saturday and to get behind the lads. Listen to the Pottermouth speech before you leave home and you'll be ready to roar on the mighty Potters to victory! Believe!!

Glaramara - not having a go at you personally, but I still think that it's a pi$$ poor excuse tbh whether it's on Sky or not as to why people cannot get themselves down to the ground for one of the biggest games in the club's recent history - there always seems to be an excuse with Stoke fans, whether it's on Sky, the weather, the football being played blah blah!
Why is it only at Stoke that we moan about things such as this - you only have to look at West Brazil being a sell-out last Saturday whilst on Sky - you also don't hear the same excuses from Man U/Liverpool/Norwich fans (take your pick!) every time that they are on TV, the only issue seems to be with us for reasons that I cannot fathom? ???

visunitafortior no we're not all made of money like you students, you know ;D Well I am definitely not made of money, how do you manage to afford a Sky sports subscription then? I know for a fact that I couldn't, but I suppose you don't mind paying to watch your premier team. From now on any of your opinions that you voice on here don't count as you are not a true stoke fan. good day.

Bristol were allocated 2,800 ages ago but have not sold there full-allocation yet
Given that the South Stand will have about 3,000 empty seats and meshing over about 1,000 seats in the JSL then a crowd over 23,000 would, in effect, be a full-house And I think that anything less would be an absolute disgrace given how MASSIVE this game is
For me, if you're not there, you're not Stoke NO-EXCUSES
