Gaz - thanks for that. I've finally listened to the whole program in about four sessions! For those without the time to listen all in one go, would it be possible to show on your site next to the program link, a "menu" showing what segments (interviews & discussions) are in the program and the approximate time each segment starts? Saves us doing it by trial and error. Edit: Forgot to say Jimmy G was always my favourite player and it is great to have found out through hearing him many times since he retired, that he is as great a bloke to talk to as he was to watch. A lot of younger players could do worse than listen to Jimmy to learn how to earn the everlasting respect of fans. He should be in the Guinness Book of Records for being the only player in history to sit down and cry with his manager on being told he was to be sold to Man Utd.

Jimmy will always be my idol. I thought he spoke very well and the programme was a great listen.
It also added to my high opinion of Tony Pulis. The fact that he regularly invites Jimmy down to the training ground and obviously makes him feel so welcome is fantastic and generous spirited. I know a few things haven't gone quite so well for Jimmy in later life and this must be a big boost for him.
Also inviting Nigel Johnson into the dressing room to give him a present from the team before the Liverpool game was such a nice gesture.

Always be my idol. I was the 5th member to join his fan club back in the 70s. Must look out my old autograph album with a signed photo of him. Great to know that he is still involved.

Was JG doing the pundit job on Radio Stoke with Nige the other week?

My absolute all time sporting hero. My first real trauma in life came when we sold him. I cried my bloody eyes out. The best striker of a football I have ever seen. When you see people like Welbeck getting international caps when Jimmy was never picked for England breaks my heart. Him and Huddy had a telepathic relationship. We were so close to winning the league. If we'd have got Osgood instead of Shilton we'd have walked it.

Jimmy Greenoff is a true legend! When we sold him I was heart broken. My friend who is a Man Utd supporter but has been to many Stoke games with me loves him from his time at Man Utd. I took him to meet Jimmy on a legends night and he was almost moved to tears when he shook his hand.

It was brilliant to hear such a down to earth guy to be fair. I think these days with all the stupid money the players get they lose site of the real world where he clearly didn't (maybe didn't get the money they do now of course).
Great interview and a great show that keeps getting better!!

Spot on , Alan Hudson always says that if we had signed Osgood and dropped Shilton ,we would have walked the league.

John Farmer was playing on top of his form after being given the jersey back following Banksies retirement. Many ex-Stoke players have stated this including Saint Denis in his auto-biography. Back to JG, he was sublime and should have graced the England shirt for years. But strangely he only got a handful of U23 caps.

I'm too young (almost 24) to know what it was like during these times.the way some talk about it makes me think it would of been great to witness it.

Greenhoff was the best Stoke outfield player I've ever seen in a Stoke shirt by miles.
The very ,very best,

But think of the best striker you've ever seen in red and white multiply it by ten and you've got Jimmy Greenhoff. As for Huddy we'll be lucky ever to see anyone in the same Universe as him. Watching people like Rooney play for England makes me weep, world class my arse.

I consider myself very fortunate to have witnessed Jimmy and Alan Hudson in their glorious prime.

I still remember picking up my copy of the Daily Mirror and seeing the backpage headline; 'Brothers United' with pictures of Jimmy and his brother Brian.
In my naivety I thought we were signing Brian from ManUre. How wrong I was!!

My three all-time Stoke City heroes: Calvin Palmer; Peter Dobing; and Jimmy Greenhoff.
I was gutted when Calvin Palmer was sold to Sunderland but absolutely devastated when Greenhoff was sold. He was a sublime striker and one of the best vollyers in the game, ever!

. Him and Huddy had a telepathic relationship. Astrological? (their birthdays were only a few days apart)
