Better not to get picked for this non event and hope Cahill or Jagielka gets injured and play against Poland.

Don't think he'll play. Though it would be an ideal game to bring him on as a sub in. Especially if we're a few goals up.

Doubt he will come on, we only have 3 subs to make I didn't know it was only 3. He will make changes when we are comfortably in front saving players for the Poland game. I was hoping he would get a sub appearance but now seems unlikely. I just hope the manager keeps him around the squad for the Sweden friendly in November.

Jones & Smalling will be fit again by that time. I feel that its now or never if Ryan is going to get a cap. It's San Marino, the worst team in the world. They hardly ever score, let alone get a result. If he can't be trusted against these, then what hope does he have.

The Sweden game is a friendly and the opportunity for him to try out different players. Surely he knows what Smalling and Jones can do at this level by now. So I would be very disappointed if he ditched Ryan for that fixture . Not sure Jones will be fit certainly not match fit.

I don't think that matter Cous. See Carroll.

Just hope he takes the view that he knows enough about Smalling and Jones. There isn't another International until Feb so its not going to be preparation for a world cup qualify so logic suggests a few new options.

Injuries have pretty much forced his inclusion Cous. The exclusion of Crouch is nothing short of a disgrace. Woy hates everything Stoke but if others were fit Ryan would not have been called up.

He'll start the game then never get dropped for the rest of his playing days, amassing over 100 caps in a glittering England career which included a World Cup win in Brazil.
During that time, he'll also lead Stoke to the Premier League title, 2 FA Cup wins and a Capital One Cup success.
. . . . . . . . or perhaps not.

Let's be honest, how often do you usually see CB's subbed? I can't imagine it's very frequent. I don't think he'll make more than a cameo appearance.

The lad should start, although inactually rate Cahill and jagielka ahead of him we actually know what them pair can do. Games against San Marino is ideal for Ryan to get a game, it's going be a routine 6 or 7 nil win

Can't see Woy making a tactical substitution in Defence in a game we're likely to win 7-0.
Unless there's an injury he won't make an appearance.
