It's not the Bob Mac I knew but then it must have been taken a few decades before even I was born.

Just looking at McGrory's playing record. 514 games 0 goals. Is that some kind of record for an outfield player even though he was a RB.

Chewing wax is chewing gum. It isn't Bob McGrory but I can't name the Stoke player. Bob McGrory holds the record of being the oldest player to play in all 42 league games in a season - he was 42

Only his hair similar.

I have looked at pictures of him in books when he was a player, and to me all his facial features match the pictures of him when he was a manager , it's strange how we all can view the same things differently, I would say its him but I stand to be corrected on that

I reckon it's Harry Davies who played for us from 1922-1929 and 1932-1937. He as often chosen to 'represent' Stoke on cigarette and trade cards of the 20s and 30s
