Hi all,
The 150 year pie was Lobby and I was one of a few that suggested the idea.
The pie will go on sale on Saturday for the rest of the season and I'm in a prize draw with others to go to Wrights with club officials.
Who else put forward this idea? ;D
Hope everyone tries it!

I was going to suggest a TalkSport Presenter pie, made with the finest cuts of Adrian Durham, Darren Gough and Micky Quinn, padded out with a bit of potato to soak up the fat. But in the end I thought it might give the fans indigestion! ;D

Dont see the point in a lobby pie myself. As posted above it will be the same as meat and potato with a bit of gravy.

A visit to the Wright's pie factory is an ace prize.
I bet you can lick the special pie wallpaper, swim in the giant steak and kidney pool and watch Mr Wright's midgets perform their amazing pie dances and riddles.
Either that, or it's a big shitty kitchen with an industrial sized oven.

im hoping for a meat & potato pie but loaded with other veg such as well. Fuck me. That's a lofty ambition. I'm not sure if Wrights have the ability to create such a wondrous and technologically advanced pie. Steady on chief Hang on, isn't the pie you are "hoping" for a well...err a Cornish Pasty?

And how exactly does a "lobby pie" celebrate or mark 150 years of tradition at our beloved club? Surely we can do better than a "lobby pie"?

I think we need something new. Something that will feed every Potter for another 150 years. Something like a "piecake" in the shape of Robert Huths left football boot. A hybrid composite outer shell of both pie crust and oatcake construction (patentable - a worlds first), then fill it with real lobby, and you could dunk bread into it, or drink it like soup. Our very own culinary gift to the world. The sight of 1000's of Stokies sipping lobby from a piecrust/oatcake football boot would be simply extraordinary

I made on of them low calorie pies that the Hairy Bikers did and it was lovely. Instead of Shortcrust pastry you use Pizza mix and dry fry the ingredients! 400 calories. Fcuk me! Just realised I sound like Delia Smith. I would have back-scuttled her when she was younger.

How about a a friendship pie much as that described by ruby, these could be distributed to the visiting supporters discus like from the adjacent stands. There would have to be strict quality control to ensure that there was no danger of scalding, however as this is a subject of some seriousness my vote was for bacon cheese and tomatoe oatcake parcels wrapped in shortcrust pastry. Have to go now off to the Gym.

A thousand flying piecrust boots filled with super heated lobby aimed squarely at opposing supporters? It would get very messy but it works for me.

It's sort of outrageous we don't sell oatcakes at the Brit anyway, to be fair. Local dish for the local people, ideal footy snack if you ask me.
As for 'lobby' pie. Wow. Thrilling stuff.
