There seem to be a lot of very pissed off people. Presumably it was about Hillsborough, any ideas?

Totally out of keeping with this week's disclosures and the general mood of football fans throughout the world.

Is this really true? Nowt like chastising without definite proof, would go against what United fan groups have been preaching for the past few days.

I'm sure it's only a small minority but it happened none the less or Man Utd wouldn't feel the need to distance themselves from the chants as they have, would they?

A minority no doubt, every club has cunts like these. No more, no less, though we do have an absolute bumload of them.

I didn't read that article as United condemning chants that happened this weekend?? "We did hear the usual anti-Liverpool chants at the match today but we're pleased to say, despite some reports to the contrary, there was nothing that was specifically referencing Hillsborough. "Any attempt to suggest otherwise is irresponsible given the forthcoming fixture between the clubs and furthermore risks needlessly upsetting the bereaved families further at a time when they are understandably trying to find closure.

I hadn't read that link, I'd seen the one on sky which said there was chants from a small minority which "briefly occurred during the 4-0 victory over Wigan"

United fans have vowed to 'self-police' when they go to Anfield next week. The reaction to any chants could get very nasty.

Your never going stop united fans singing about hillsbrough the same as you will never stop scouse fans singing about Munich. Sad but true I imagine if the football authorities grew some bollocks and took three points off any club whose supporters are found to sing offensive songs like that, (Munich, Hillsborough etc) it would stop pretty darn quickly. It would rapidly become self-policing in the stands.

'Self policing' would just result in retaliation from the pricks doing the chants anyway and make matters worse. Best leaving it to those in charge
