Always thought he was the best pundit around.
Did anyone just hear what he said on football focus - 'Today's game is harder for Man City than Tuesdays away at Real Madrid'
Amazing!

Best pundit around ;D How do we judge who is the best pundit around? The one who says the nicest things about Stoke? (regardless of how stupid the comment is)

"In some respects" he said. Presumably in respect of being terrorised by the Stokies and being subjected to some 'robust' challenges

What would you prefer, 90 mins of pain followed by a couple of weeks of niggly injuries or playing aagainst some tip tap ballet dancers?

Real Madrid tip tap ballet dancers? That isn't anything to do with a footballing philosophy. That's just thick and ignorant

No not necessarily. Players of that level do the physical but it's strategic and less lunging in. And considerably more effective.
ANYWAY, you did indicate that Real Madrid are ballet dancers. That is just silly

Today will be a physical battle, very much different from Tuesday evening will be - correct? I don't know about that, Real Madrid are a pretty physical bunch to be fair. Some of Pepe's actions would put Huth to shame to be fair. Sergio Ramos isn't scared of a fight either. Add to that Carvalho, Essien, Khedira and Benzema and I think it's fair to say Real are a pretty physical team when they need to be.

Fair point, but I don't think Mancini will be bleating about the ref prior to the game in Spain.

What evidence is there that we injure players intentionally? We play a robust form of football but never go out to injure opposing players
