Football Manager used to have our capacity as 28,083.
Not sure what the official figure actually is, it changes everywhere you look.
I assume the figure in your table takes account of the netting in the south stand.

I assume the figure in your table takes account of the netting in the south stand. For a big cup game where we could offer the whole of the south stand to the opposition with no seats lost to segregation, our capacity is about 28,200 ish.

Also worth noting that the figures include away support which often fail to sell out. Home sections of the Brit would show an even higher percentage figure.

I've always thought of Fulham as having a small ground, with no room for expansion due to preservation orders. Now they have received permission to expand to just over 30,000 and also make way for a through walk, alongside the Thames, from Hammersmith to Putney, for the first time ever.
Never thought that Brighton and Swansea, among others, would overtake us, either. Interesting times.

Every time I have been to the Theme Park there have been 1000's of empty seats in the top sections of the corners.
Therefore how can they claim such a high % of capacity.

I don't know if I was looking at the wrong time or what but against Arsenal the seats for the Waddo Suite were only about a third full. Was it like during the whole game? A slight worry if so that we can't sell them?!
March-they probably count season ticket holders who don't go as being there.

Sadly it was as 'entertaining' as the majority of our other games under Pulis so time and money well spent Thanks Tone.

By you maybe. Not by everyone, me included Would you rather see the ground half empty mate? Seriously. This old argument!! Undoubtedly - SCFC have gained some 'new' fans following promotion. However, most of the crowd is made up of fans that have been with the clubs for years. It is just that the 'Casual' supporter - who previuosly attended 6-12 games a season - will now have a season ticket. ie in the Championship (not accurate figures) Av (Home Fans) Att. 15 000, 10 000 STs, 5 000 Pay Per Match 23 x Home games = 115 000 Pay per match in one season. Suppose every Pay per match fan attended 11 games in a season, that would equate to 10.5k 'Casual Supporters'. Convert these to Season ticket holder and add to the existing ST holders and yoou have a fan base of 20 000 ST's. Now I know that the numbers quoted are not accurate, but it illustrates the model - showing where the majority of so called 'Johnny Come Latelys' have appeared from.

However, I do know a few of the 'great unwashed' from the 'bog' that are now attending. They even have the audacity to slate the lack of entertainment on offer at times! Heard it with my own ears, as one was sitting next to me before I moved Season tickets to get away from the tosser. Also, know of at least three families that are now season ticket holders, and used to argue with them all the time on the 'pot banks', as they were 'SHIT FANS'. You could'nt make it up could you. they swear 'blacks blue' now, that they were only winding me up, yeh right..... Wankers of the highest order, in my book. Although was quite funny at Wembley on the concourse at half time when I exposed one of them, quite loudly, to be a Manc loving turncoat. I thought he was going to shit himself on the spot. Instead he decided to run off into the crowd!

None of it bothers me anyway, succesful football club gains new fans shocker You are probably right in what you say above, it seems to work out. People actually have children too ;D When they get to a certain age a new generation start going games with their families. It also works both ways, there are folk who i know (me included) who attended a hell of a lot more games over the years before we hit the top league again. For one reason or another, it may be work, finances or other pressures these people only attend sporadically now. Whoever is filling the ground, fair play to them, let's hope the blood runs red and white for all of them and they stick by us whatever. If there is an element of gloryhunting then so what, money is money at the end of the day and it all goes to sustaining the growth and stability of scfc.

In my above post when i mention gloryhunters i didn't really consider folk like that, in my eyes what you describe is pure stupidity. However if someone couldn't be arsed going stoke when we were a league or two lower and now they want to go, that doesn't really fuss me. Like i say, money is money.

They are worse than the Liverpool and Manc gloyhunters that used to dominate the City. Didn't want to know when we were shit, but now were doing the business, all of a sudden it's their team cause we were born here. Scum. On a more positive note: The number of youngsters, who, even 6 years ago, would have been wearing the above tops, are now wearing ours. Stoke tops must be well outnumbering all the other prem teams put together now, around the City.
