I can't agree that it will be adequate though. Neither are suitable and their inclusions in those roles will hold us back, without question in my opinion. Cameron is easily good enough on the proviso we play safe & tight at the back. Wilson is a versatile footballer, has the ability to keep the ball and recycle possession from the back. Not ideal, but good enough ''to do a job'' I'm personally unsure how anyone can think Cameron can play at right back when he's never done it before (that probably won't stop him playing there) and the fact that we don't use proper full backs is often our Achilles heel. We allow too many crosses into our box and it puts massive pressure on our superb centre back pairing. Football is a numbers game and no matter how good Ryan and Rob are eventually the ball lands on a forward's head or at their feet and we get punished. To "do a job" can get you through in the lower leagues but at this level it more often than not, bites you on the arse.

Left-back should have been priority #1.
Mind you, you could have written that sentence at any time since the mid-2000s.
A winger and 5 CMs does represent a bit of a bonkers transfer window.

We've done a job for 4 seasons straight without to many repercussions. G-Cam will be sound at RB, defensive maestro is his middle name.

But he did say in an interview as recently as last weekend that it was the one position on the pitch he could not play in. So clearly, mentally, he is not 'up for it'

We've done a job for 4 seasons straight without to many repercussions. G-Cam will be sound at RB, defensive maestro is his middle name. There's very small margins for error here though. If we now start scoring more goals it may not be as important but the other issue is that while we've "done a job" in the past we've had a rigid system which always supported our full backs. If we do change system (which is what we all want lets face it) I think our weakness at full back will be exposed further.

Marc Wilson's re-tweets over the last 3-4 days have been quite enlightening too! twitter.com/wildog87 Don't understand the big need for midfielders when we've got one that players left back. @wildog87 Retweeted by marc wilson
Last time I saw you playing at CM you scored against Blackburn. Best passer at the club is wasted at LB. Retweeted by marc wilson
Stoke's most under-rated payer. Playing out of position, giving 110% and has no recognisable 'weaker' foot. #Appreciation Retweeted by marc wilson
Thought you played well tonight marc still think you're wasted at full back though you take one for the team Retweeted by marc wilson
well played marc, would luv 2 c you in centre mid though Retweeted by marc wilson

Well theres not much point stressing now We've had 5 years to bring in a full back, Pulis obviously doesn't see the need... All hail the messiah ;D

You do wonder if he's got something odd lined up for Edu? As it stands, it's tough to see him getting a sniff in midfield. It looks a very, very odd signing.
Assuming he's left-footed (he seems to be on a few youtube clips?), and despite the fact it doesn't seem like he's ever played at LB before in his life, it wouldn't be a total shock, would it?
It says it all about the bonkers-ness of our full-back policy that it's even being raised.

Sweeney & Mama were both Pulis signings.. Boskamp had no choice but to accept em seeing as we only had 12 players at the time.

Walters,Whitehead and Diao have been excellent servants for this football club so stop being stupid in your anger.
Soares looked like he could be the real deal but petered out as with Collins who came with a good reputation!
I,m not Tones biggest fan but he's done great things with our football club and though at times i despair with him i really want him to take us forward.
