Plus- Huth signing a new contract
- Not losing any of the 'crown jewels' (Huth/Ryan/Bego/Crouch)
- Having 3 proper wingers
- Upgrading the midfield
- Starting to exploit the foreign markets
- TP going outside of his comfort zone and signing attacking midfielders (Ness and Adam) and also trying to sign a proper left back
- Bringing in some decent players without breaking the bank (cf. summer transfer window 2011)
Negatives- Too much dead wood not moved on
- Not actually signing a full back
- Ending up with a team full of central midfielders
- Having no cover for the Walters role (assuming the Mama contract extension doesn't mean he'll get in the Prem squad)
- Not livening up our striker options by replacing those that don't want to be here (KY and CJ) with new blood

I think you have covered most points there.
There is still a chance to move on some of the dead wood, on loan for now with a view of a permanent move in January if they impress

Another negative is that we STILL can't seem to finalise deals (Huddlestone, Popov)

Are we still able to bring in loan players or sign free transfers until we need to register our 25?

Very good work and definately progress not the desperation of the first season (Tonge, Soares, Olifininjana etc) and not the overpaying of last season. Every signing we made is hungry To prove themselves and all have sell on value.
Great business when you look at some of the silly prices being Paid. Southamptons business with Ramirez, West Hams with Jarvis are reckless and are certainly a case of putting all your eggs in one basket. Given the option would you want Kightly, Adam, NZonzi, Cameron, Edu, Ness or there big signing. I think we've been far shrewder. Cheap yes but big bargains particularly Adam, NZonzi, Cameron and Kightly.
On the downside still no fullbacks however Edu may turn out to be decent at LB and no striker however if we change to 1 up front we still have Crouchy and KJ (if he can be arsed) who offer quality.
The one thing that worries me is we have a lot of players we wanted rid of. If called upon will they be arsed.

On the foreign markets - very pleased Puls had his 1492 moment and discovered America. A deep pool of Pulis-type players who represent value for money. Also good for the brand - lots of Yanks are Fulham fans only because the like of McBride and Dempsey, and they are one of the few non-giants of the Prem to have a solid following here (we'll see if that changes post-Dempsey...)

Another negative is that we STILL can't seem to finalise deals (Huddlestone, Popov) Neither can Liverpool. We've done well.
