Well done the clever bloke who came up with the new system. If that is supposed to be better you fucked up big time. Six of us have used thebus for years and after one day of that joke we have decided to go to the Gardners and walk!! So goodbye Stoke town and hello Gardners !! Hope it,s as good as everyone says. How did everyone else find the new system? Felt sorry for the stewards who took all the flack!!

What happened today?
I was able to get a lift to the ground for the game today but usually use their shuttle buses.
New system?

The problem was that under the "old system " you had numerous stewards giving out un-numbered tickets and receiving the cash from supporters. The tickets were the same colour etc whether you paid full or the concessionary rate.To make matters worse on the return journey the fee of £2 was given to the stewards and no ticket issued. It must have been a near impossible task for Wardles to reconcile the cash received to supporters carried. Wardle`s need to be certain that they receive the cash for all the supporters that they have carried.I`m not so sure that the "old system"enabled them to do that. The new system of the driver issuing the ticket for cash and collecting the tickets for the return journey is slower for us but at least Wardles will be able to verify with more accuracy income collected to passengers carried. If I was a betting man I`d wager a few notes that Wardles are happier with the new system!!

Appalling! Perhaps not if you live fairly locally or are just going to collect your parked car, near the station, I suppose, as it takes only a little extra time. If you're catching a train to London (for example) it means getting home one hour later.
The driver was not too happy, in either direction.
I'd said, many seasons ago, that the best travel system was at Elland Road. There you walk between railings (so no crushing) with your bus ticket. If you don't have one, you go to an 'office' two inutes away - in their case an old bus is used - to purchase a ticket before being allowed into the queue. That way, no outsider handles the cash, there is quick entry on to the bus, no one dodges a fare and no one sneaks into the front of the queue. It is quick and brilliantly but very simply organised.
