Can't have the fans too close, there is always trouble with Stoke and also it's happened in the past.

So are we the only club then? West brom's is very close, the segregation is a line of police but I am not sure. Think it is, can't even think of a club with it that large, maybe Wigan but it's in their own stand

Newcastle - leave a complete section gap with police / stewards on each set of steps either side of the segregation.

More or less the only club who are thus 'selected', as I started to count, a season or two ago, but gave up when I hadn't found another, well into the season.
Sunderland and Newcastle are the most deadly of enemies and when they play each other, they travel on special buses, rather than risk local transport, such is the venom. But once inside the SOL, they are separated by ONE vertical row of police/stewards, despite so much trouble at every match. It seems that we are vicitmised because no-one will admit that the effect of a 14-seat segregation at the Brit, apart from decreasing our capacity, give such a dreadful impression to TV viewers, as I've been saying for years. Our safetyofficer has never fought our corner hard enough.
Eggy, if you travel away, just answer the question yourself. You will find that at the Etihad, for instance, you can touch opposition supporters.
