I think Kightly is almost as good, not as quick but more variety to his game , I now see Moses may move for less and Jarvis is not in the same league as him , got to give Moxey credit but £5m tops is Jarvis value

And where is this money coming from??
WHam still owe Sheff Utd £10M from years ago.
A big issue in football at the moment is the amount of money some clubs owe other clubs.
I would imagine Wolves were praying for a different club to come in so that they didn't have to deal with WHam.

( The above means i am well pleased with Stokes' deal) ;D I wonder if the initial outlay on both players is much different. I think Wolves will have to wait a very long time if they expect to see anything like £10M from WHam (ask Sheff Utd).

How though they're already 70m in debt and owe Sheffield United 12m and look like there spending shows no signs of stopping. What happened to this financial fair play rule?

Well, Kightly is already on 2 in 2 for us, scored with his first touch for us, scored a scrappy goal last satdee, but meh. The way I see it, he's already scored half as many goals as both wingers scored last season in 1 game. He's a bull. He doesn't run past players and jinx them with skill, he just muscles through and still beats his man. Great signing. Just hope TP doesn't decide to bring him off at 72 mins every game, cos without him last week, we looked lost and had nothing going forward. I hope his form continues, and we could be looking at 3 players with 10+ goals this season (Usual suspects Crouch and SJW, pending transfers), I actually think he'll probably be our top scorer this season, if he picks up loose balls like that when it drops (something ethers and pennant never do, but lawrence used to).
As for sundee, I can see us putting 3 or 4 past the arse, they are toothless, Cameron and Kights wanting to prove themselves in front of the baying Britannia crowd. They are toothless without RVP. 3 or 4 nil, Crouch, Walters, 1 or 2 from Kightly.

when you see the jarvis deal and what is been mentioned re moses, you can see how good the deal for kightly looks. He may have had his injury problems, but he clearly knows where the goal is and isnt afraid to put in a shift.

What happened to this financial fair play rule? People keep misunderstanding ffp, ffp is a Uefa ruling which they can use to sanction clubs who don't comply, the likely sanction to be exclusion from European competition. If you're not a club expecting to get into Europe ffp is meaningless

A mate of mine who's a Wolves fan is pissed off that we got Kightley so cheap, he thinks we got the best deal by far out of him and jarvis. And he rates Kightley higher.

Kightly a great deal - Moses and Jarvis overpriced in my opinion Let's hope he remains injury free and can provide some quality crosses / passes to Crouch

I have read this thread with interest.
Jarvis is robbery ?
Palacios and Crouch for £18 million is certainly robbery. Jarvis is a fair price for somebody who has many years left to play.
You mention Kightly but not the above tripe from Spurs; oh dear oh dear. Blinkered.

The thread is called Daylight Robbery when it is cleary not when compared to the money Pulis has wasted on so much of our current squad. It is always wise to look at the bigger picture when starting such threads.

The comparison was across the three , I rate Kightly and Jarvis as pretty close and I think that Moses has the potential to be a top premiership player , so in that group I think Jarvis is expensive, no doubt palacios now looks a massive mistake , Crouch is quality just needs players with him who compliment his style

Kightly scores more and has a better end product. How many times have you seen jarvis run the ball out of play or cross the ball over the crossbar, that said would still have liked to see him play for us!

5 yr deal with an option for a 6th!
Now that's a deal....for Wolves...and Jarvis.
Not sure about West Ham, though.

Kightly is good value, but I would have loved to have seen Jarvis replace Ethers. He goes at the full back every single time, and although his crossing needs working on, he would give us far more of a presence on the left in the final third.
he would win us corners and set pieces galore, and also chips in.
Jarvis and Kightly for £13m combined is about right.

I agree that I'd have liked him at Stoke Bunny but West Ham now have some £25 Million invested in one player (at a conservative estimate). It's far too much mate and glad we didn't join that race. I rate him and I think lots of clubs will but the price is crazy. Jarvis has done well and looks a good player but just where has he shown that he's a £10 million player?
