S-O-T have been there or there about over the years in the world of dance, at least in the later 20th cent. I know proper Stoke supporters who have been involved in all of these eras, & I'm sure loads more of you have been. Any stories :)Acieeed

was a reggae club wen we first started goin in there late satuday nights - probs about 89 - then golden took over and it was dane - think as more and more lads n ravers got in there the local black lads did not like it - all ended badly that 1 night - but that has been well documented elsewhere ! had a lot of lost saturday nights there though

for those of us who still haven't grown up in the head yet, there's an old skool reunion night on sat 18th aug in jumpin jacks. The night is called " Best of the Best " and will have all of the resident Club Kinetic D.J's and m.c's. It's £15 get in but these top D.J's charge dollar for their class act. The music dates from 92-96, 7 till 4am. I went the one in april and it was class, all the old faces and no one under 30. It was a pisser to see how much weight people have put on over the years and still think they can bust some moves.

Started off at Introspectivein late 89/90 Up anley duck, with Daz Willot ... Then in 90/91 Entropy kicked in with a friday night at the leisurebowl in Longton. Upstairs in a unused squash court, the floor bounced up and down ! On saturday it was Shelleys with Dave Seaman ( not the goalie ) and the legend that is called DJ Sasha. Stoke on Trent is famous around the world for rave music and for Stoke City Fc !!

Saw the Macc lads at shelleys would of been late 80s. King Kurt also played at Shelleys one year I seem to remember. Can also remember it as a pre rave era disco, but can't think what it was named (maybe Footloose?). It had some old single deck coach parked around the side. Also remember when the front boards were graffiti'd by Longton artist "Spot" who did Amnesia on one side, and Delight on the other.

Joels on Glass St about 88 anyone? cant remember the name but the first chicago house to be played to a large crowd in stoke on trent was late 87 at the place in glass st that later became the void. Wilf was the dj on friday nights. edit: just spoke to me mate, and that was joels, i remember it as the roxy roller.

Smudger... Yes Joels was pretty short lived at Glass St if I remember, the old Roxy Roller as you say. Frequented it late 88 early 89, my first introduction to Acid as it was known then. Moved on after that to Entropy, Introspective, Freetown, Golden etc Good times :-)

introspective didnt begin in hanley mate, it started in the leisurebowl longton which later became entropy. Correct. H I am 95% sure the idea was conceived at the old Freetown club ... it did move over to the leisurebowl as the freetown was simply not big enough. The freetown was then the home of Golden, which moved from Regimes. I can just about remember going myself, albeit i had many more brain cells back then !! lol

Used to go Entropy on a Friday then eventually migrated over to shelleys. Does anyone remember the Entropy sunday alldayer? DJ Daz Willot ftw.

I went the first Introspective night back in 89, the original venue was meant to be Shelley's but they pulled the plug last minute because of all the bad press about the acid house/ drug scene at the time, so it ended up above the bus station. ??? Just found out one of the lads I went with died 5 years ago, Adam Brewer. He did a bit of deejaying, I think it was at Wigan Pier.
