A guaranteed battle in the 80s They've obviously looked after themselves better than I have then. I'm too fat and wheezy to even think about running amok these days...

Nijmegen is a great night out.
Sounds like some Blackburn fans had a few too many shandies on the Friday night and started giving it the large one.

I remember back in the 70' s at Vale Park, Blackburn fans jumped from the old open Hamil road end onto the railway stand roof, walked all the way along it to the bycars, and were putting holes in the bycars roof and throwing stuff at the Vale fans

I love how everybody on here has all the sudden become old school hooligans That would be me then. If you read the thread its about Blackburn and a hooligan issue......we commented on the fact that in the 80s they did. If you were not around at that time you have no point to make so why make a comment on people discussing it?

I only live down the road and have never seen any hoolies at Blackburn, even when they play Burnley its the Burnley fans who are game not the Blackburn ones.Always gave me the impression of a family orientated club but just goes to show otherwise.

Agree with the ones that say Blackburn were pretty handy in the 80's, proper industrial town back then with alot of game fans, but back in those days even the old miners of Mansfield gave as good as they got!
