One of the least gifted footballers iv ever seen but he's been quality for the club. But if he wants to make a comeback, it can't be at stoke.

Jesus, give the guy a break.
What's he gonna say 'I'm happy taking my wage but I can't be bothered to try and get fit to see if I'll ever play again'.
Jeez.

Nobody can deny that he has helped us get where we are today and that he was an integral part of that, but at the end of the day he shouldn't have been offered a new contract as we all know. I personally don't think he'll ever play for the first team again and it was just TPs way of saying thanks for what he's done etc and the club sticking by him through his injuries etc. Shame they didnt do the same for Fuller though!!!

The problem with that logic is would a footballer be happy to be at a club where he knows he wont start especially at his age Wouldn't he be better off at a championship club where might feature I have a feeling that he will play....probably on the wing ahead of Pennant!

Our prayers have been answered.
The lethal Mama Sidibe is almost back to first team fitness again. I bet Pulis is drooling as we speak.

Would clubs like Everton, Fulham, Sunderland, clubs that we aspire to be bracketed with, have him anywhere near their respective first teams? I think we all know the answer to that one!

You're not wrong I think a lot of people were praying for him after his last injury, it's difficult not to feel a bit sorry for him. It's great to see that he is getting back to fitness isn't it. I do doubt that he'll ever really feature for us but it's nice for Mama that he's getting fit.

He may well get injured, his body is fooked! So surely he would prefer to work with a team that knows his history and know how he will react to certain stretches and exercises?

Teams that we aspire to be bracketed like don't include the likes of Wilson, Shotton and Walters as regulars in their teams either but it hasn't stopped us being in and around them for a couple of seasons.
I may be in a minority, but I would love to see Mama on the pitch and playing in our colours again. If he was anything like, fitness wise, he would be very useful sub for us to have and good, cheap cover for Crouch.

Kenwyne does not work as cover, he's barely interested when he starts and as a sub/cover he's even less motivated. I suppose a poor player such as Mama who is at least motivated and keen is roughly on a par with a potentially talented but lazy and sulky player in Kenwyne perhaps.

I'm not saying that Mama is any good really but if you want a 6ft plus lump to come on, amble about, chasing the ball and winning headers then you might as well have a 6ft lump that'll put some effort in. Because Kenwyne towards the end of last season would come on, stroll about, fall over and generally do fuck all.

Mama most assuredly has is flaws and is an easy target for the critics consequently. However,he's a selfless runner and worker, doesn't posess a whacking great ego so won't rock the boat, will be happy to be a squad player and play a subordinate role to the likes of Crouch,Walters et al and will give his all when called upon.Give me that over the lethargic, apathetic KJ we saw last season.

Mama is not good enough for the prem, that should be the only criteria Mr pulis should be thinking about.I will run my bollocks off for stoke and I am also a nice kiddie,so how about giving me a 1 yr contract.

Are we really reduced to aspiring to a 6ft plus lump to coming on, ambling about, chasing the ball and winning the odd header in preference to one that comes on, strolls about, falls over and generally does fuck all?? ??? I doubt if that's the choice facing the respective bosses at Everton, Sunderland, Fulham and all the other mid-table mediocrities we aspire to emulate!

Love Mama but shouldn't be anywhere near the 25 man squad. Could and should do much better and if Ric doesn't deserve to be here, Mama certainly doesn't. We should give him a job in the coaching staff imo!
