If you fill in the 4 blanks with the right players you would have a good mix of youth, pace and even a fair bit of experience. Surely such a thing couldn't be possible from a TP . Begovic. Ben Glasgow. Shawcross. ? ? Matt Jarvis Marc Wilson. Cuvellier. Jamie ness ? ? I'm probably missing some obvious reason why this is crap

Why would you drop Huth?

Unless the missing players are Kompany, Ashley Cole, Mario Gomez and Tevez, I think that side is a bit pants

I was thinking youth wise, as most of our first team are in the autum years of their careers.

Huth will be 28 on the day the season kicks off. Hardly ancient. Think you need some experience blended in with your youth.
I wouldn't hang my hat on Ness and Cuvelier yet at this level despite them having a lot of potential.

With sports science playing a bigger role, more and more players will carry on playing until their late 30s. Huth is yet to reach the 30 mark so still has a lot of time!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying huth is anywhere near past it, I'm just thinking all the above players are what I'd assume to be the next wave of stoke players, as long as they make the grade that is, with Shawcross, Wilson and Begovic helping them bed in

From what I heard Cuvelier has been at the training ground every day of his own accord, keeping his fitness up and working on his game. So if nothing else atleast he is committed, just hope he lives up to his potential

A loan to a half-decent Championship club this season would probably do him some good, and maybe an run out in the cups failing that.

I never understood the harm in playing them in the early rounds of the cups, even just first half, I know chances are it wouldn't be against top opposition but atleast they could get a feel for the way the team play, and If its not working! hook them off at half time.

I'd hope to see Ness and Cuvelier at the Yeovil friendly when I attend it.

But future wise Atleast we have options, specially if we did sign Jarvis, and some of the untried players can hack it in the premiership.
