I kind of like our reputation to be honest. When folk stop talking about you then you know you're not upsetting other teams any more

I like the comments about us ;D
Makes us more than just a normal team. At least we have an identity, opposed to the likes of the generic Bolton's, Blackburn's and Fulham's of our time.

Have to admit, however untrue it is, I enjoy people thinking we are hard and ruthless. In the pub I work in there are always people who dismiss football as being a game full of over paid pansies, but they always take a shine to stoke as we are a proper football team playing football more akin to the type of game played 30 years ago to the game that arsene wenger et al created in the mid nineties.

I suppose I'm biased because I think he's about as funny as dry rot. As far as I can see, he 'burst' into the entertainment world on the strength of being a mate of Peter Kay's and I've yet to actually work out what it is he does or why he's on my TV at all. I'm guessing it's just as much a mystery to him. I have no problem with people taking the piss out of Stoke City in this manner because it could be quite amusing. However, it doesn't half sound pathetic coming from the fan of a club that Stoke beat 5 - 0 in an FA Cup Semi Final AND then relegated them the following season. The FA Cup Semi Final was a game between TWO sets of animals (Lions and Mice).

Really dont see what the problem is. Top bloke is Paddy Mcguiness. However if the remark had come from someone as unfunny and untalented as say Alan Davies then it would be just cause for someone to smash his face in.

Don't mind his comments about Stoke at all to be honest, just think he's a crap comedian (is that what he does?). He tweaks my miserable old bastard tendencies by getting to be rich and famous for having a Bolton accent. It's a bit like Cheryl Tweedy being presented with several millions of pounds on the strength of being very shaggable or Kylie Minogue getting world wide fame for having a nice arse. God I'm an envious, miserable bugger at times. I even depress me!
