I don't think anyone would question Parker's commitment, passion, bravery or his ability (and willingness) to get up and down. He always puts it all in for the cause and he's got lots of admirable qualities. He's not let anyone down and he rarely does.

I agree fully with your first two sentences - and as a result he is the sort of player pretty much any club would covet, and whose fans would love. The problem, at this level, is that "rarely" probably isn't good enough. Having said that, Scotty P has been worth his place (a) for the frankly hilarious cameo where he got turned inside out by the Ukraine striker, ended up on all fours, and tried to tackle him with his head; and (b) not that I've ever watched it, but his razor sharp "Madmen" style haircut.

So, Parker does exactly the same as whitehead but gets praised, but whitehead gets slated?

So, Parker does exactly the same as whitehead but gets praised, but whitehead gets slated? I like Whitehead mate and I do think he gets unfair criticism at times but Parker is a significantly better player than him in almost every department and Pulis would swap the two in a heartbeat but Spurs wouldn't.

I like my Dad's description of him, he says he plays like "a dog who needs a shit" ;D with the way he spins with the ball and what not. He has an important job to do and on the whole he does it well.

So, Parker does exactly the same as whitehead but gets praised, but whitehead gets slated? Oh god, was this not put to bed in that other ridiculous thread? Whitehead does "exactly the same thing" as Parker in the same way that Jon Walters does "exactly the same thing" as Rooney.
