Unlike some sponsored stadium we don't have a proper name to revert too , would make an interesting thread!

I like the sound of the, 'Britannia Stadium' the Victoria Ground too, not sure I like the sound of 'bet365'. I hope it stays as it is.

Well I'm guessing the company Britannia will be fully taken over soon, so we can do what we want with the name Britannia.

I meant the brand Britannia will disappear, everything to be under the co-op.

For the record.
Bet365 have been confirmed as the UK's biggest gambling company for the 4th year running.
Bet365 are now the 3rd fastest growing company in the UK.
Impressive stuff - congratulations to the Coates family.

They should re-name it ' The Pulis' stadium. H It has been considered. I think they are more likely to rename the entire Trentham Lakes after TP when he retires.

This is a strange one, as much as I like the pounds rolling in at Stoke I'd sacrifice stadium sponsorship so that the identity of the ground stays intact. Although a sponsors name, The Britannia Stadium is our ground now and let's face it, the old, glorious Vic was named after a pub!
In the article though, Coates does not say anywhere that the Stadium name will remain the same.
Looking to the future, how long before we get Manchester United sponsored by Adidas, Coors Chelsea, Pound Shop Port Vale?
In time, everything will be sponsored, even the name of the club.

Surely TP's solicitor would argue that if the stadium doesn't get renamed 'The Pulis' Stadium that the people of Stoke on Trent and Stoke City Football club would suffer?

like many have said on here before Britannia is a great name and has a continuity that follows on from the Victoria. Britannia and Victoria are both linked together by empire and a sense of being British and by some strange quirk its one of the few sponsored ground names that doesnt sound naff. if we must take the sponsorship dollar maybe a compromise would be to stick the sponsors name after the ground name on programmes tickets act leaving us fans free to still refer to the Britannia as plain old "Brit"

2017 I think. Seem to remember both deals we signed with them were for 10 years a piece. May be wrong though.
