Olympics for me, bolder and wider in it's scope and ambition and a welcome change from the turgid, non-stop diet of association football foisted upon us in this country. God knows why the broadcasters think football is the only sport we can handle in this country. On reflection perhaps they are right

Euros for me always a good excuse to get in the pub, cant see a load of people getting together for the Olympics.

the olympics should give us a glimpse of the future, especially in terms of seeing brazil's new players.
however, surely we'd rather win the euros so it has to be the big one

Not excited about either to be honest.
As has already been said the Euros is a better excuse to go down the pub, so that'll be it then.

Although judging by Woy's selection, i'd say our olympic xi will be a better side. The likes of Bale, Ferdinand, Sturridge, Giggs, maybe even Crouch are better than what we've got in our national side at the minute!

The likes of Bale, Ferdinand, Sturridge, Giggs, maybe even Crouch are better than what we've got in our national side at the minute! Only 3 players are allowed over 23. Two of them will be beckham and giggs. I really doubt crouch will get into the squad.

the majority of footbaqll fans only take interest in the national team at senior level and then only in proper tournaments
football is so saturated and does not have a meaningful place in the olympics
the olympics is the ultimate goal for some sports but not for football
(or tennis, golf or most professional sports)

and the olympic football is hardly selling tickets
they have picked too big grounds for many meaningless matches
they should have used decent lower league football stadiums like the new shrewsbury one
depending on the fixture list

You can hardly compare Olympic football to the Euro's
