After yesterday's positive contract news about promising youngster Florent Cuvelier. Another of Stoke City's bright young talents has agreed a new contract with the club. Mama has been offered a one year deal and he hopes to be fully fit just in time for Stoke's pre-season in 7 weeks time. Source: The Sentinel

It says on the back of today's sentinel that he's in a race to fit for pre season after excepting a one year deal offer. The prolific goal scorer who has found the back of the net 26 times in 7 seasons says " I'm running sprinting and changing direction and the knees been ok." "I am passing the ball normally, but not kicking it yet"
What the fork does passing it normally but not kicking it supposed to mean? That he can't hoof the ball to Pluis' 70 yard standard.
And he's played twice as sub in two years.
Money well spent Tone keep it up.

I wish it was. Fair play to Mama as a man, battling on where I think many others might just give it up. Not great for us though

I Carnot see the sense in it other than if TP is looking for a very cheap option for backup. He's injury prone and going downhill so why do it. if we're trying to save money for new players as Coates would suggest this makes no sense whatsoever.

We don't have to worry about paying bonuses for goals & appearances with Mama in fairness ;D

Unbelievable aren't we supposed to be watching the pennies this season. Well that's 20k a week less we can offer one of our targets. A ludicrous decision if it's a weekly wage and not pay as you play. Nice guy but should be nowhere near our PL squad after 5 seasons.

There's some strange voodoo shit going on between Mama and Tone. We don't want to mess with it, it's the reason were in the Premiership.

Just when you were losing all hope and faith in the manager...!
Finally, a full return to the system that made us what we are. Next season should now be one full of promise.

I don't think it's as bad as people are making out. I honestly think I prefer Mama in the withdrawn role over Walters.

Brilliant news, good to have the big man back. It's about time we had some proper competition for Super Jon. Let's just hope he signs the contract on offer

"fair play to mama for going on where many men would of given up". Are you having a laugh? Would you give up if you were getting twenty grand a week?

If you got injured at work? What would happen? Would you be abandoned by your employer? Or would they do "the right thing" and suport you as much as they could, until you were well again and give you the opportunity to resume your employment?

I think Pulis as lost the plot now. What will the other players think if Mamas bought off the bench before them?

Thats not a very good example really Mama is better than Walters in the role they both play, the only question I would ask is can he he do it with Crouch as his sidekick instead of Fuller.

I don't know of any employers that would give you full pay for over 2 years with a non life threatening injury and then give you a new contract when you 'might' have got over it. Mama's a nice bloke and helped us get promotion, but this is just a waste of money and another TP cheque to one of his favourites, when the money could be spent on wages for some young up and coming player who might actually be helpful in the future. How he can moan about 'Front of House' then do this is hilarious. I'm not surprised though. H

Most working people aren't on 20k a week though and in 2 days in 2 years.

I did say mama and Walters would start a game for stoke next year as our strike force looking good now.
