"Compelling play and results that instil a sense of confidence that Villa is on the right track have been plainly absent.
"The most immediate action that we can take is to look carefully at our options in terms of bringing in a new manager who sees the club's potential and embraces our collective expectations."
If you substituted Villa with Stoke?

Villa have been worse than us.
And they can’t use the excuse of playing 98 games like we have.
TP’s got a big season ahead of him.

Villa have been horrendous this season with little excuse having been in the top 6-7 places in the league consistently under Martin O'Neil Stoke only been in the Premier League for a relatively short period in comparison and had the added Europa League games to contend with. You can't compare the two clubs Stoke m

It's a good question.
Pulis is obviously aware and bothered of the growing discontent, when was the last time Mr Coates publicly stood in his corner?
I think Mr Coates might be sitting on the fence.

There's a number of factors at play at the Villa.
Large numbers of Villa fans had it in for the Ginger One from the minute he arrived due to his time at Birmingham.
Villa fans have a high opinion of themselves and the level of expectation is massive, of the the 3 Brummie clubs Villa are convinced they are number one, any threat to that position will not be tolerated by Villa fans. So the fact that the Baggies were comfortably above the Villa made the situation even more dire as far as Villa fans are concerned.
Having lost Friedel, Young and Downing and not being given the funds to replace them, plus being told to get the waqe bill down to a more sustainable level, they then lose Petrov, Dunne and Bent to long term injuries. They have to resort to using some of the kids who have plainly not being up to the task. The adverse publicity from some of the player's antics after the end of season awards caught on camera didn't help either.
The Ginger One never stood a chance.

But we might get Heskey now, he is over 6 ft isnt he? (heaven help us)
The general state of Midlands football is the worst Ive ever seen in my lifetime only the obvious masaging of WBA position to give Roy an incling of credability has stopped this season from being a total disaster for the region, while all other areas of the country seem to be flurishing in the riches of the premmiership.
