The 16th place finish would be in the style of Wigan, at times we'd play 3 at the back, we'd spend little and we'd flirt with relegation at times but would finish above the bottom three.
The Stoke option is the same as the present one, except we would gain a better position. The football would would be the same and without Europa we'd have more energy, be mire focused and would gain more points. Match quality would be poor and without Fuller there is a dearth of skilful excitement. The side finish 10th

If only life was made up of simple choices like this!?
I have said before I don't enjoy Pulis's "style" of football but I would settle for a boring 1-0 win every game. The problem is second half of the season that's not what we achieved. Results wise from March onwards we delivered relegation form and we just got the "boring" part of the equation. So that's the concern - not only is the football ugly at the moment but it is also ineffective.

Football style and league placing do not correlate.

Lets lose the bullshit for a minute. If we had the two thirds of a season that Wigan had up until around February then there would be riots and demonstrations against the manager, regardless of who he was and what style of football he played!
We would be nowhere near as tolerant of poor results as the Wigan lot.
Which kind of answers the question in some way, I think...
