I can't believe any Stoke fan would even have to think whether they want us to win a Football match or not. Without question, 47 points.

I hate QPR and it was sickening to let that goal in so late on, but would take the 3 points every time. I hate most other clubs too anyway these days ;D
47 points = decent total, probably 12th or above, and optimistic way to start a preseason.
Walters with the winner?

It's a tough one.
Give up 3 points that could save Bolton at QPRs expense?? A place or two in the League table, worth £2m to us, or a summer of having any/all of our transfer targets hijacked by moneybags QPR??
I'd love to see QPR down and not just because theyre a shithole of a club, with shithead players and fans. Them going down could mean an easier Window for us.
I predict a very entertaining, but ultimately fruitless, 8-7 win for Bolton.
;D

47 points, higher up the table and more money for Pulis to waste....

No strong feelings one way or the other about QPR. But very strong desire to see Stoke win every time. 47 points please, and other results to go for us to move up the table.

I want 47 points.
I understand people worrying about QPR next season, but we should stick to worrying about our own club and the Welsh-Maltese man that needs to make a big shake up this summer.

Stoke will not be competing with QPR over many transfer targets as we do not have the pull of London. 47 points for me

Is it only me who'd find it just as much fun sending Bolton down? Pros and cons for every result. It'll probably be a 2-position swing, so £1.5m would be handy, but is only slightly more than a year's salary for Andrew Davies or Michael 'contract extension' Tonge. So let's keep it in perspective. I would like Chung-Yong Lee more than SWP, that's for sure! QPR will be more of a threat in the transfer market and next year's league table, that's going to be tougher than ever to escape the bottom third of, though. I do find it hard to get that stressed over finishing 12th, 13th or 14th. But a victory jig from an Owen Coyle in full shorts, socks and football boots combo would be sickening. I can live with any result to be honest.

Is it only me who'd find it just as much fun sending Bolton down? Nope. I can't be doing with them or that eejit Coyle. It'd be hilarious either way, it's a shame Villa aren't in with more of a shout too.

Bolton were the darlings, with Owen Coyle's football revolution (despite them still hoofing it 9 times out of ten and Dvies fouling his man every time). They'd got their vengeance for Wembley with that 5-0 shellacking and we had their fans on here telling us how that was the more impressive result... and yet we could do shaft them good and proper yet again. As much as I don't like QPR, I'd still find that absolutely hilarious, I have to say.

Personally, I am praying for a Bolton win at the Brit. Nothing against Stoke, of course, but if QPR survive then it is likely they will be sniffing round a similar level of players as the likes of Sunderland and Stoke and will throw serious money at it to blow us out of the water.

I've disliked Bolton ever since their fans' holier than thou attitude when we cheered as they beat us to stop Vale getting promoted.
Therefore I hope we win to send them down.
But it would be great to irritate them even further by cheering one of their consolation goals at some point.
And, just for once, please let us be the team that sends someone down!
As for QPR - vile club but probably not in for the same players as us. In fact we'll probably end up signing some of their current players who will be forced out by superstar signings this summer. Bobby Zamora no doubt.

So you'd rather have our club lose 3 million odd quid and a higher place over who goes down?
Come back when you actually 'support' Stoke

Send Bolton down, how many times can the survive by the skin of their teeth? It's become tiresome. Wigan hit form and have survived when a few weeks ago they seemed dead and buried. Blackburn have now gone so Stoke need to hammer Bolton in retaliation for the crap result away. No loss if Bolton go. QPR won't last beyond a 2nd season anyway.

There's all the pragmatic stuff to consider, but one of the bigger things for me is that it would be nice to end the season with something to actually shout about and to bring back a bit of a positive mood in the stands. It would be good to end the season with the team and supporters working in harmony, like at the end of last season. If we're losing to Bolton and have to endure them celebrating on the pitch then I imagine that the mood will turn very sour indeed.
