DO you want to buy every part or just upgrade a PC you already have?

I've built a large number of PC's in the past. Recently though I have found it cheaper to buy a 'bare bones' ready made system and all you need to do is install the operating system. Ebuyer currently have a decent one (quick find code 344621) it also has a PCIE slot so you can upgrade to a beefier graphics card in the future. For £190 delivered you cant really go wrong.

If you get the ready built box as in my earlier post you will see a massive improvement but you will need to install an OS which is relatively straight forward. Plus it has a PCIE x 16 slot you can upgrade your video card in the future to say a nice £1000 Geforce 690 GTX

There are a number of considerations. The power supply needs to be capable of supporting a graphics card that is up to the job. For gaming intel processors are really the way to go at this moment in time.
Another consideration is how long do you want the system to last? If you want something that will last you a good few years as well as be further upgradeable in the future its worth spending a bit more now to get something you can still have around in 3/4 years time.
For both Civ 5 and FM you need good amounts of processing power and RAM as opposed to much in the way of graphics (Civ 5 can be demanding if you max it out, but its main draw is on the processing as it gets further in) there would be no point at all in getting a GTX690 with a barebones system that comes priced at £190 because the processor would never be able to handle it in a million years and it would bottleneck more than likely decreasing performance than increasing it.
Drop me a PM and I can easily answer more questions or queries.
