With all the abuse Walters is getting on here at the moment, if and I know it's a big IF, he scores on Saturday will those giving him dogs abuse celebrate the goal or not?

What a shit question.
Of course. We're all Stoke fans and we support the club over any individual feeling towards or against a player or member of staff, so it's obvious that anyone would celebrate.
And even if he does score on Saturday, it doesn't mask the fact that he's been pretty shit all season and his missed chances from open play are a factor in us being the lowest scoring team in English football and possibly cost us a place in an FA Cup semi final.

Gosh, how dare people criticise Walters by using factually correct statistics to back their arguments up. It's an outrage.

I will celebrate and I have no problems with Jon, my problem is with TP who as run the poor sod into the ground and out of form. Any other manager would have given hima rest, taken him off after missing chances and used his squad. Thats not JW fault isit.

If it's that shit a question why did you reply to it then Oh and let's not forget his 2 goals in the FA Cup semi last season which helped us get to the final eh? Short memories........ Why would I forget his 2 goals at Wembley a year a go? It was one of the best days of my life, however, what does it have to do with anything? Yeah he scored 2 goals (one being spectacular) in an FA Cup semi final during his 2 months of excellent form at the end of last season. It doesn't change the fact that before and since then, he's been below average for a Premier League football player. And he did miss a golden chance in the quarter final against Liverpool this year which could of put us 2-1 up going into half time. I'm not saying we would of won the game from then on, but it would of given us a damn good chance of getting to Wembley again or forcing them into a replay at our place. Sorry if it offends you mate, but those are the facts..

By the same token, if he doesn't play and we lose, will we use it as another stick to beat Pulis with?

More chance of Pottermus curling one in from 40 yards... but I'll be up and bouncing around either way.... thats part of what being a supporter is about...

Players not celebrating goals against their old teams is one of the more pathetic developments of recent years, every bit of "respect" it shows is out weighed by blatant "disrespect" of the players current fans and the club that pays his wages. Suggesting fans might not celebrate an important goal because they don't like the goalscorer is even more pathetic.

I don't understand why everyone has a go at Walters. He tries, he never hides, yes, he needs a rest but that is down to the manager...what do people want him to do, refuse to play?
They weren't "sitters" on Saturday and I have seen many worse misses (KJ at Blackpool!?) and at least he was there to have the chances, too often lately he has been so far out wide he hasn't made the box.
Time to see a few changes in the starting 11, but NOT to have a go at one of our own!!
