He wants the club to become self sufficient.
But TP continues to ignore the young players.
A player called Cuvelier one of the hottest prospects, they were the words of a Stoke City player and Ben Marshall.
But he goes out and buys Crouch for £10m on £60k pw and aged 30. no resale value what so ever after TP will keep him till Crouch is pushing him around in a wheel chair.
Offers a a 35 year old Delap a new contract. Offers Salif Diao a new deal. Questions Coates investment in building a new academy days after its released to the fans.
Walters Whelan Whitehead Wilko Shotton Jerome Delap Diao Sidibe
All stealing a living league 1 and championship player at best.

Delap Diao and mama wont play for us again, so id ignore those, but the others are squad players at best. But coatsey as got to start questioning his transfers, crouch like you say has no resale value at all, where as cisse, ba, jelavic the boy from fulham, all were brought for less and will fetch double if they were to sell in the summer.

Whats your problem with Crouch, do I really have to tell you how important he's been this year? If i do maybe you should try attending a game or watching a bit harder
Where are these young strikers we have which made signing Crouch a bad idea anyway? You cant use arguments about Cuvelier and Marshall in relation to Crouch as they aren't strikers

No problem with Crouch.
But £10m on a 29 year old? Come onnnn. Its a bit like buying a old dog instead of a puppy.
PS i go every game, including away games after yesterday i wont be going any other away games.

You do look at some of those names in the OP and think yeah there really is such a thing as a free lunch! The older players Delap and Salif, come on what other team in the PL would consider them, if they're going to coach then who? and what? It hardly sets the pulse racing with the prospect of young flair players rolling off the production line with those two in charge does it? Although in fairness I suppose it all depends on the clubs attitude to youth development in the future. As for some of the other names: Sidibe was never PL standard, and most the others could probably be considered as perhaps squad members elsewhere.

Being a real manager is somewhat harder than playing football manager on your computer. Pulls is the greatest manager stoke have ever had, fact and you can stick your wadding ton argument up your arse, totally different game and far more professional nowadays. Pulis is no god but jeezus the ingratitude on here stinks to high heaven.

I know fucking terrible isnt, a 31 year old who's been one of our best players all year and our sole goalscorer, absolutely fucking terrible!!
Dont know how you can say you have no problem with Crouch but you do with his age, its Coates money if we didnt want to spend it, HE WOULDNT

Coates will no doubt be speaking to Tone and Tone will say its been a long hard season and its taken its toll on the squad, next season will be different as we will have a longer rest and we'll be back fitter and stronger.
Time will tell but i think the style will remain the same.

Crouch as been a good buy yes.
I mean £10m on a striker who is 31 for fucks sake?
Coates wants the club to become self run, will that happen under Pulis?
£8m striker in Jones, who as been BRILLIANT at Stoke and cant even get on the pitch ahead of Walters says alot for his management skills.

And as for your fact hes a better manager than waddo, what as pulis won again??? Times 40 odd million by 5 and that is what he has won this club in sky revenue alone. As I say the ingratitude fooking stinks worse than the bogs at vale park.

Whitehead, Whelan and Jerome are all good players and a credit to the club, Delap is a steady pair of 'hands' for next season and Wilko does a good job at full back.
Anyway isnt Shawcross a young player thats developed at our club

He offered Diao a coaching role and the money for Crouch was never just for his football ability it was also for his profile, and to show others that the club can attract bigger names. Whitehead has been playing well in recent weeks as has Whelan so I don't see how those are stealing a living. He also didn't question the building of the new academy he just said don't forget the current team needs investment too.

Why should we be grateful the guy is on an enormous salary no doubt and wouldn't be chased by many if any other clubs. He did well to get us up and keep it going but now needs to be moved on

I imagine Tony is entirely aware of our 'problems' and is searching hard to resolve them. Whar's staggering is the idea that somehow he's satisfied with our defeats and/or poor performances. TP always seems to 'live' the games and I strongly suspect he's crushed when we are poor. He does makes mistakes, sadly, got to accept that. But Who doesn't? At least some of the things he's got right have been utterly amazing
