Leading wicket-taker in county cricket last year and effectively kept Worcestershire up, he was named one of Wisden's cricketers of the year for 2011 alongside England internationals Tim Bresnan and Ali Cook, Lancashire captain Glen Chapple and Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka. Massive Stokie. Well done Alan!

Good lad Richo!
Alan is a top man. Born and bred in Stone and a lifelong Stokie. Great to see he's finally getting some recognition!

Richo wasn't spotted by the (talent scouts) in Staffordshire until he was 16, then 12 months later he's making his debut for Derbyshire.

Really made his name when he played for the Bears. Was a real friendly chap around the ground at Edgbaston and always had a chat with myself being fellow Stokies.

If you are the same Tim Fielding that coached us as young kids at LSCC Richo's achievement(s) must be incredibly satisfying for you too. Never forget a good coach me!
