Leg breaker straight on the ankle red card if it was one of us and a pen.

Because it was Barry on Whelan. If Whelan on Barry = straight red

Because it was Barry on Whelan. If Whelan on Barry = straight red I very much doubt that. Should of been a pen, first time I saw it wasn't 100% but on second viewing, definitely.

To be honest it didn't occur to me at the time, but if it had been outside the box it would have been a foul so...........?

I was screaming at the TV after the replays but on first sight it just looked like they ran into each other. Maybe that's what Webb saw whereas Whelan actually nicked the ball away and then got clobbered by Barry. Glenn's lucky he's still walking.

Webb is a good ref, he missed it - get over it there's no conspiracy today.

funny how espn didn't even mention it at half time round-up. if it was other way round espn would have creamed all over it and prob a pen and a red.

They were both stretching. V harsh to call that a pen..however, I can see the point that it may have been called a foul in open play.

One of those like the Shawcross-Ramsey one. 50:50 where one player is a touch late. Foul and a penalty certainly, not a red though.

Shawcross got a red, I know Ramsey's leg broke but Whelen's was bent in the same way, lucky boy.
