I know this has been mentioned on the score thread for the everton/blunderland match but I had to get this off my chest as a separate topic Using the McClean foul as an example of a foul that shouldnt be given, how can commentators who watch the replay of the incident say that McClean was fouled.? It was as clear as day that Heitinga didnt touch him as the replay showed, yet they try to justify why the cheating little scrote got the foul by saying there was slight contact. What a fucking crock of shit, do they think we are stupid? Just once I would love to see a commentator say what he sees when the replay come on instead of swerving the actual incident and its real outcome. And yes, Scumderland are fucking cheating scum. No wonder TP hates the divers.

You very rarely hear one say "oh I got that totally wrong in real time", it does happen but it's rare. More often they choose to ignore anything that might make them look wrong. Some times it is staggering. It's not as if they have any vested interest other than their own ego's. Manager's myopia is much more forgivable by comparison.

"The slightest of touches" ... get's on your wick, doesn't it?!
I always wonder whether they are worried of defamation of character lawsuits for calling a player a cheat.
Was the same with Suarez (the cheating tvvat) a couple of weeks ago ... None of the pair commentating could quite bring themselves to say that he'd dived ...
... In TV land, spades are called metallic implements often used for digging

It's not as if they have any vested interest other than their own ego's. That in my opinion is where you're wrong they do not want to upset anyone who may withdraw any sort of access to the players. Much the same as the Sentivale and Radio Stoke but on a grander scale. They're all of the gravy train, including the refs, and no one dares stand up and upset it. It's a beautiful pure product that just happens to make everyone rich and woe betide anyone who says anything otherwise. It's fucking corrupt! Two legs good, four legs bad........ for now!

And the worst bit is the commentators are equally as bad by justifying these so called 'superstars' actions.

Shearer's "he has every right to go down" is absolutely embarrassing.

That's exactly what I thought at the time. Commentatators, especially those on ITV are shite these days. This slightest touch, having the right to go down bollocks is ruining the game, it's just not sport.
I'm just waiting for Andy Townsend to point out that either team must score to have a chance of winning the game...

I don't disagree but my point about the not changing their mind because of their ego's works either way. In the circumstances that they have called it a dive and it turns out to be a foul they still won't change their minds. edit I should add I'm not watching this game, it just pisses me off in general
