BUT, we do really need some apart from the usual ones we always use at the brit so seeing as there is hopefully 6000 of us following them on sunday, its maybe a good chance to get them heard and everyone catching on to them.
Like the one we have to the soundtrack 'I just can't get enough', robert huths massive german youth one we have and if JP is played I think his new one is good to the soundtrack 'I love you baby'

And therein lies the problem. No song, especially new ones, will have universal appeal. And if enough fans dislike a chant or song it'll never catch on. And I agree, we could do with a bigger repertoire. |

Viva ken barlow songs with all verses will be sung in the pubs
There are a few more knocking round for individual players now. In terms of songs for SCFC, 1863 is a must in my opinion

The problem with 'Just can't get enough' is that every club sings it now.
Liverpool will be singing their 'Luis Suarez' version - that we already have a counter song for!
1863 - has to take off
Robert Huth got a decent airing at Anfield in January.
We really do have very few songs, and as I have said before - we need something continous.
The reason that 'Just can't get enough' is sung by so many clubs is that it is cyclical and you can sing it for ages with lulls and crescendos and everyone gets to learn the words.
The 1863 one - how many times would you have to hear that to workout/learn the words.
Everyone could join in with 'We've been here since 1863' but unless the song is constantly cycled, very few people will pick up on the rest of the words.
The easiest songs to catch on, are the ones with very few words, lots of na na na or der der der etc.
Can anyone think of a well known and catchy tune that we could adopt? ala 'Just can't get enough'

1863 must be sung so we can have a standard fall back song home or away. Delihah should really only be sung after we score IMO. So the 1863 song would not only be fairly easy for most to learn but also raise the fact that we've been around from the start.

We need one of those scrolling signs for the words of the songs mounting on top of the score board. No excuse for people getting it wrong then. Also if it was scrolling all game with different songs even when we weren't singing people could still take note of the words whilst we wait for the drying of the ball with the towels  |
