There must be a better kick taker than him out there. Palacios? Walters? Shawcross could probably put a better cross in.

I think I could put a better dead ball in than whitehead. His delivery is terrible for a prem player.

We work so hard to get those dead ball situations, especially with 10 men - and then two in succession from Deano wasted, Wilson wasted one in the first half. We are supposed to be a threat from these situations - how frustrating is that !!!

He had a bad day with set pieces but whenever he's stepped in to take them before today i've been pleasantly surprised at his delivery. Not many other options today as we didn't have one ball player on the park.

Whitehead full stop .its not just his set pieces ,he cant trap a taxi ,pass water or dribble down his leg ,but he can do a marathon ,he is the worst centre midfielder in the whole of the division.

Not many other options today as we didn't have one ball player on the park. It's not really an excuse though is it? A lot of people were asking before the game - just who on earth was going to deliver our set pieces today? It seems they were right to ask the question. As has been said earlier in the thread, we worked so hard to win our set pieces and then Deano completely wasted each one with some awful deliveries. If Whelan and Ethers were unavailable due to illness or injury today, then surely this was the time for JP to finally get a start - of course, that's if Tone really hasn't got any issues with him.
