Is anyone going to write a book about our European adventure? I really enjoyed reading Stephen Foster's books and would be looking forward to his next installment about now but sadly he passed away. I went to all the home games, watched on TV, listened to the radio etc... but there is something special about a personalised account from a fan's perspective, especially one with a good sense of humour. There must be few on here who are capable of giving it a good effort? Probably a few quid in it as well if it's any good. It could be called, 'And She Laughed Abroad'

For me, one of the ironic things about Winger's death is that he would have loved our Euro campaign. I reckon he'd have got to all the away games and there would have been enough incidents there to make a great book.
Surely one of the other Stokie scribes will have taken up the challenge - I do hope so.

Good title that Phil.
I didn't know Winger, Lakeland, but it did pop into my head when seeing all the Stokies in Valencia what a good read he would have made of it all. Shame.

Hello,
I loved his books but haven't read 'The Final' yet. I've looked on Amazon and can't see it (a google search isn't much help either). It's possible I'm being thick but could somebody point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Yes, winger would have had fun writing about it, but there must be someone who went who could write a story on our European adventure. His son Jack is ultra successful with his own business of co-managing Takeover Entertainment, and is so busy he can't make to many games. But he still loves the club. services.edp24.co.uk/norfolk/future50/assets/content/profiles/7-Takeover-Entertainment_Archie-Lamb_Jack-Foster.aspxAfter the Norwich game we received a text from him which said: Brilliant! Now I can really give my Norwich mates some stick! Goooaaarrrnnn Stoke! OS.

Bless Whinger. Still difficult to believe, isn't it? Yes it would have been a great read, but I'm sure one of the others will do it it justice. Wunner be the same, though

It's possible I'm being thick but could somebody point me in the right direction. Thanks "The Final" is only available as an "e" book from Amazon. If you don't have a kindle you can download a free kindle "app" for your PC, Smartphone or tablet computer and then you will be able to buy the final and download it in seconds. Worked for me!
