Proberley between £800 and £3000 and if one is on £12000 i would imagine pretty soon they will be trying to get him off the wage bill

Somebody posted a table of professional footballers' average earnings recently. Whilst in the Prem the figure was obviously in the millions, League 2 footballers were only just above the national average.
I doubt Vale have ever got even close to paying anyone 10k a month joe, never mind a week.

Some ex Vale player on Radio Stoke saying the present players cant afford to put petrol in their cars. Millionaires would struggle with current petrol prices, they are utterly ridiculous

From £100 per week for a first year professional up to £1200 for the highest earners. They are just as needy for their monthly wage as anyone else. An average League two wage is £750 per week, not anywhere near the Premier League average of £20k per week.

I'm certain if most employess didn't get paid for several weeks they'd be in the do do's.

I heard that one of Vale's players didn't go to Accrington because the club couldn't guarantee to pay his petrol money for the journey from his home.
Anyone else hear anything similar?

I have it under good authority from one of the vale board members, that most of them are, in fact, illegal immigrants and therefore it does not matter if they are paid ;D

Well i work nights for that much (£300-£400) and me and the missus and our 2 kids get by ok. If its really that tough for them to get by then i suggest they size down to terraced house and a nice cheap family car. Or the alternative is to turn semi-pro and get a real job as well and for them to start living in the real world! Oh and im losing my fucking job in 5 weeks as well!
