Finally TP has admitted that he made a mistake with his squad selection for Valencia.
Apparently he should have made the same decision but done it a week earlier.
What a complete and utter bellend our manager is! A man who is easy to respect yet totally impossible to love.
Who the fuck is TP trying to kid with his press comments this week?

He's right to be fair.
The starting XI in Valencia did much better. Anything than lumping it to an isolated Crouch all day long was bound to be an improvement.
We actually had some pace and creativity (Ric + Jerome) in the team and a ball player (Arismendi) in the middle.

The bloke is an utter bellend!! I genuinely believe that it really gets to him that he's not universally loved by everyone here!! Never has a manager achieved what he has and yet still been so disliked by so many!!

How dare he come into the team and pass the ball!!!

He is right. Playing your better players generally ensures that you will get a better performance.
The so-called first team has been wank for ages but will he change it. Will he fuck!
If his only mistake v Valencia was to not make the changes a week earlier for the home tie, then Pulis is an absolute pillock who once again shows that he doesn't give a rats ass about the supporters.
His mistake was not taking a full squad to Valencia and no matter how much he tries to convince everyone otherwise, I'm sure that he knows that.
Negative Bastard and impossible to love!
MoMO...Yes he winds me up a treat...much like Scholes does you!

Pulis must be having some sort of mental break down! There's no other excuse for his bizarre ramblings to the media! He admits Arismendi has done 'really well' in the only 2 games we've started him, against 2 clubs with years of European experience, any normal manager would put him in the starting 11 for the league, but not Pulis, he wants to fuck him off out on loan, probably to his bessie mate Megson in League 1! The he says he should have played the reserves against Valencia in the home leg?! He's having a breakdown, the sooner the men in white Coates fuck him off the better.

He means for the home game.
Thing is he picked (more or less) the side most of us would have picked & we got mullered (1.0 flattered Stoke big time imho).
For me I think it was therefore 100% correct to change the side/formation for the return leg.
Thats not to say the line up for the return leg is the one I would have picked or the correct line up in itself (we lost on the night after all) however I can see the logic in changing.
What was - for me,& I appreciate this view isn't shared by many - unnaceptable was the bench. If he had picked the same side with Ethers,Crouch,Shawcross & Walters on the bench I would have no problem with it.

It was the bench (or the lack of it) which was TP's mistake last Thursday. The team against Valencia at the Brit underperformed (as it has done in a few games recently) and it was a decent move to make major changes to the starting 11 in the Mestalla.

There should of been options on the bench and a fuller squad SHOULD of been there.

me neither Lord!
For the record, I wouldn't have picked the side he did for the home game either. The central midfield pair was always going to get overun and the front two were obviously going to do nothing as usual.
TP got it badly wrong in both games. As good as they were, they weren't unbeatable and we have beaten better sides and given better sides than them a game on our own patch.
The lack of a bench in the away game is/was unforgivable but clearly TP feels that his biggest mistake was not changing the team for the home leg. The guy is losing the plot!

TP: at some point he winds everyone up,even fans like me who at the very least respect him.
then other times he gets things right big time & we all reap the rewards
does seem like ages since he did the latter mind....

Is he now going to finally admit that not having a decent ball playing midfielder is also a massive mistake, and has been for years! Waits with bated breath.

I think he's becoming a very arrogant man and lives in a world of yes men telling him he's great and right all the time and when someone disagrees with him he reacts by sarcastic press comments or sells them. I just wish he connected with the supporters better and showed us a little more respect. I didn't like his comment in the week that said I don't justify myself to the supporters only my chairman.. It's unnecessary and distances himself further from us. I don't want to him to 'justify' himself but there is nothing wrong with old fashioned respect and good manners Mr Puils

Is that what people are getting their fanny’s in a twist about? It’s exactly what he said at the end of the Sky highlights on Sunday night with a grin on his face. I don’t agree with what he did, the bench in particular but some of you seem to have got off on the wrong foot with Tone. You don’t like some of the jokes he tells. You've got to chill out, yeah, trust him, this is what he does, alright? You will never support a team like this again. This is brilliant-fact. And you will never have another boss like Tone Someone who's basically a chilled out entertainer.
