LIKE MANY OTHERS I'VE MOANED MY BAG OFF ABOUT HIM RECENTLY, BUT TO WANT HIM SACKED IS I,M,O, WAY OFF THE MARK. THE SEASON WE CAME UP I THOUGHT WE WOULD PROBABLY COME STRAIGHT BACK DOWN.INSTEAD WE ARE SAFE AGAIN, GOING WELL FOR A THIRD YEAR IN THE CUP. HAD A GREAT RUN IN EUROPE.HARDLY A SACKABLE RUN. I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I SAW THE TEAM ON THURSDAY BUT WHEN WE USED THE FIRST CHOICE 11 IN THE EARLIER ROUNDS THE LEAGUE FORM SUFFERED. HE SAID IT WAS A LEARNING PROCESS AND HE LEARNED TO USE HIS FULL SQUAD. NOT YOUTH TEAM OR RESERVE SIDE BUT THE EXPENSIVELY ASSEMBLED SQUAD. THE FACT PEOPLE ARE NOW CALLING FOR ARISMENDY TO GET A START SAYS IT ALL. TONEY SPENT ALOT OF MONEY TO BRING HIM TO STOKE AND WHEN HE SHOWS HE IS READY IN TRAINING HE WILL GET HIS CHANCE.I HONESTLY THINK WE ARE CLOSE TO HAVING A VERY STRONG TEAM. BEGOVIC ,HUTH, SHAWCROSS,ECT. ECT. ALL PULIS SINGINGS AND IF WE HAD MANAGED TO SIGN SCOTT PARKER , CHARLEY ADAMS OR THE OTHER PLAYERS WE CHASED MAYBE WE WOULD PLAY THROUGH MIDFIELD MORE.A FEW OF THE TEAM ARE GOING THROUGH A DIP IN FORM AT THE MINUTE FOR WHATEVER REASON, YET WE ARE STILL DOING OK. THE TEAM SHOWED TODAY THAT THEY ARE WORKING HARD, DESPITE NOT PLAYING WELL,AND THE SMILE ON CROUCH'S FACE WHEN HE SCORED TELLS ME THE LADS ARE DESPERATE TO WIN. WITH OUR CURRENT FORM THAT TOGETHERNESS IS VITAL.THATS WHAT TONY BRINGS TO THE CLUB.HE DRIVES ME MAD SOMETIMES BUT ALL IN ALL HE IS DOING FANTASTIC

Not a Pulis out ranter but I'd like to see a decent assistant working with him. Kemp out!

If as we should now achieve safety and a mid table finish then he's earnt a crack at next season.
That said the last couple of months must be concerning for the board in relation to performance and results and something needs to change or we could struggle next year. I'm not sure what it is but we look worse now than we did last season and that needs addressing.
You could put it down to Europe and the extra fixtures but I think it runs deeper than that.
We have a better squad now than we've ever had. Perhaps that's the problem because it doesn't seem like TP still doesn't know what our best side is and because of that there's no consistancy. There seems to be an abyndance of riches up front and at CB and plenty of CM's (though it's more quantity than quality) but no widemen and no proper LB.
I just hope TP gets the transfer window right next season and gets the right players in with priority being a CM who can pass and another winger.

interesting one this - overtly very few, but many want him to stay as long as he stops behaving like himself, which is pretty much the same thing

Someone said to me today he (pulis) will never be loved but respected and tolerated. Its incredible the most successful manager we have ever had could be spoken about in such terms. Shameful really but its true.
Honestly i think we will only all realise what an era this has been when somebody else eventually takes over.

Shameful really but its true. Honestly i think we will only all realise what an era this has been when somebody else eventually takes over. I've been quite surprised recently by how many on here, from both sides of the anti/pro-Pulis side have commented that they're not particularly bothered about being entertained. I've always thought this message board was just a snap-shot of how Stoke supporters view matters, but perhaps people on here are generally just the two extremes of the more political side of supporting Stoke. Maybe the reason Pulis isn't loved in the way that Macari was, even with much larger achievements to fall-back on, is because he doesn't provide such entertainment on a match-by-match basis. In which case, maybe this board isn't that representative of overall supporter feelings at all. * * This might not make any sense as I've sunk a few tonight.
