Just seen the news that Frank Carson has passed. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-17046201He is one of only a few famous people I have spoken to and he was an absolutely lovely man. Really friendly and happy to chat. God bless you Frank for all of the laughs

A great chap, booked him for a charity bash and tried to impress him by mentioning that the previous year we had booked Stan Boardman.
He then said '' Do you know the difference between Stan Boardman and the M1?..............you can turn off the M1''

I loved the one about him ordering octupus in a Far East restaurant and the waiter said it would take about 4 hours to cook. Why so long said Frank? 'Cos it keeps turning the gas off came the reply!

Years ago, I blagged a freebie and watched Stoke at The Valley sitting in their main stand in an anonymous red and white scarf. Going out of stand at half time, with Stoke leading, Frank Carson looked at me and said, in that brilliant accent, "I blame you for this!!!"
How random's that???
