Agree wholeheartedly Mr Norcop. I do wonder how much Pulis pays Merkin to be his publicist.

Post '08 brigade is dead right I honestly think this "Post 08" argument is actually 180° away from the truth. From what I see at the games all of the really fierce pro-TP enthusiasm comes from the younger lads, many of whom will obviously be the newer fans. The objections we seem to be discussing constantly on this MB seem to me to be raised by long-term fans who were in the trenches through the dark days. That's obviously not to say that ALL of the long-term fans are objecting (of course) but there's no doubt in my mind that the hardcore TP doubters are NOT from the ranks of our newer fans. Where is the evidence that this isn't the case? Do the '08 brigade look like this? This is how I picture them anyway, maybe without the cap because Pulis wears a cap.

There's people on hear that claim to have been supporting stoke for X amount of years and still don't have a clue what they are talking about. You can watch football for years and years but it means nothing if it's going completely over the top of your head every week. Take the Crouch thing for example, "he's not scoring goals so he must be shit and overrated" some people can only see the result and not the cause. These people must also understand what it feels like to be a stoke midfielder, with things going over their heads, week in, week out. Christ we are really going to struggle to attract better playing staff next season. Not one for being melodramatic are you? ;D

Surely age has nothing to do with it, it all comes down to whether you are an optimist or a pessimist!
