just wondering if anyone could help me with the following problem :
when i play football manager on my computer the screen randomly goes black and the computer seems to go to sleep. The power is still on yet i can't get the display back up without powering off(which i don't want to do as i lose my save) My computer is reasonably new and is pretty fast when it comes to most things. I have a wireless mouse and keyboard so i don't know if it has something to do with that? It can't be overheating because if I'm on for only a short period i have the same problem. Any ideas on how to fix this?
help much appreciated!

Make sure all the connections are correctly plugged into the monitor and pc, as well as the power.

Control Panel -> Power Options
Look at the settings for the power scheme you have running.
I guess the monitor is set at 15 mins on inactivity to turn off to save on the electricity bill! You can also tweak you hd and standby here.

The wireless keyboard may have a quick button for sleeping/hibernating that is pressed by mistake? Try a wired one to see if it makes any difference?
Failing that, it could be settings in your BIOS (wake up settings) If it has just started happening it is unlikely to be this unless you recently flashed it.
On the hardware side, it maybe a loose cable or internal card?

The bios setup varies on computer systems. If the system has been okay in the past it is unlikely to be this. When you start up the pc it will display the button to press to enter the bios. Look up your pc model / motherboard for general bios settings. Does it happen with a wired mouse/keyboard? It maybe a hardware problem though? Check this - www.techspot.com/vb/topic8776.html
