The start of the season saw Woodgate and Ryan starting in the centre of the defence. There was mass hysteria on this board because Huth was played at right back. Because of that Woodgate was the target for everyone's venom and it didn't get any better when TP played him out of position at right back. I'd like to see Woodgate given a decent run at centre back in place of Huth (next two games obviously). He's got a bit of class about him and is playing more football now than ever before in his career possibly. Not everyone will agree I'm sure

When Mrs Woodgate tucks little Johnny into bed at night she sings him to sleep with the following:
Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooooooooooooooobbbbbbbbbbbbeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrt Huth Huth Huth He's a massive German youth Robert Huth Huth Huth He'll knock out yer fuckin' tooth To the left to the right He'll defend with all his might He's the best in the land And he shits on Ferdinand!
Little Johnny has nightmares and Mrs Woodgate often phones in to tell Mr Pulis that little Johnny won't be in that day because he's scared of his own fucking shadow.
Apparently.

Not everyone will agree I'm sure You almost make it sound like because of this board woodgate was dropped at centre half. It was because we were conceeding too many goals therefore we went back to what we know. Are you saying we should drop huth for woodgate? Play huth at right back and woodgate in the middle? Huth has to play full stop. He's our best defender and our biggest threat from any set piece in my opinion and I think many would agree. What we need is good proper fullbacks. It's the only answer. We know huth doesn't work at right back and we also know he needs to be in the starting 11. Woodgate's involvement is not really a talking point at this moment in time IMHO.
