It does feel like which one of these random debts is going to be the death blow But where's Vale fan Mo Chaudry, is he rushing in to help the club in their hour of need yet??? Chaudry is a weasel. I don't honestly think that he had any intentions of buying the Vale, it was just a way to stroke his ego. From what I've heard about him he seems pretty genuine. Chaudry probably doesn't want to get involved with the present shower and I don't blame him. I do think that he will take over soon...the sooner the better.

But as far as OVF is concerned, my enemy's enemy is my friend, and therefore Mo Chaudry is a knight in shining armour riding out of the sunset to save them from MOLD and shower them with cash. What's the betting that if he did buy the club they'd be back protesting in six months time because he turned out to be an unscrupulous and unprincipled self-serving bastard (i.e. a successful businessman)?

I think once they go into admin he'll play the knight in shining armour role. The Vale fans will lap it up, just like they did with Bratt et al before. ;D EDIT-what Kenilworth and Arthurdollar said. Teach me for not reading the second page. ;D

Half of my family are Vale fans, and did they give me shit in the 90's, and boy have they had it back tenfold, but as a football fan i do not want to see any club go out of business, especially a club that has been shafted, by incompetant and immoral directors, i take no pleasure from seeing this. And from a purely selfish point of view if Vale were not around, who else would we take the piss out of.

lets be honest here, they have the mega rich robbie williams in their ranks as a fan who could potentially save them....for now. but ultimately vale cant survive as a pro club due to piss poor gates and the fact that they only seem to be able to attract selfish twats as board members. they, like the rest of us need sensible and wealthy men in charge who have the clubs best interest at heart. my thoughts are that they need to go into admin and drop into non league and rebuild as a business and football club to truly have a chance of survival, non league would mean lower overheads and smaller outgoings but i do feel they are shackled with vale park and its ridiculous capacity and just max 5000 ave attendance which even with relative success would only rise to 7000 max. i actually fear for the vale but have little sympathy for a set of fans who hold such deep contempt and envy-based hatred for stoke city, these are a set of supporters so narrow minded that they boycotted stoke v vale games at the brit because of an evening sentinel fuelled witch hunt against stoke city and the britannia stadium over the fact that our ground was paid for by local tax payers and never used for the local community as it had been intended, these reasons may well be true nevertheless, vale fans have showed themselves to be piss-poor when it actually comes to backing their football club and are now learning that you reap what you sow.

At least they get the chance to find a new shirt sponsor now. Just offered some old shirts of mine for free before i take them to help to help out Rangers FC

Desperately need to downscale the stadium. Maybe a site move if possible.
Other than that I don't really know what they could do. On the plus side if they did drop down a level I don't think the crowds would drop much lower than say 3,500.

I havent got the heart to tell them that Local Boy Mo is so keen to look after them that he has been spending a lot of time looking at other football club options since he messed up the EGM that was supposed to sweep him to power. I wouldnt like to say which football clubs but one is associated with long gone outlaws and trees! ;D

I would imagine Chaudry like most people would wait to do a deal with the administator. Pick it up for a song and debt free. Can`t see Vale going down with a 10 point deduction now.

That'd make sense as a lot of Vale fans actually want administration by the sounds of P&G.

A city the size of Stoke on Trent and the surrounding areas needs two league clubs, based on a long history, keen rivalry and great (relative) successes to give fans at the very least the opportunity of some decent banter, but also youth players the hope of maybe playing for one of the home town teams in the future.
Vale need to get some disciplined local ownership to get a grip but I fear the Burslem negativity will be on their back(s) if things don't work out.

Our success of late is made all the better by Vale's slide down the league. Who else would we gloat to?

Im yet to hear one single argument to convince me of any benefit for this area having two league teams and certainly not one that benefits Stoke City, Tony. There are plenty of people from outside the area that dont even know Vale is based in Stoke as they cant be arsed to carry the name of the city in any way and two divides the potential of one in many ways. More chance for youth players doesnt count as one either as I doubt a lad who is a Stoke fan would particularly feel he "belonged at home" playing for Vale and vice versa. Its just a club to them.

As I said, the only reason I like having Port Vale around is being able to rub their decline in their faces after the shit I got at school.
Funny how half of them seem to be Liverpool fans these days :\

Building a new stand when you wen't even close to capacity as it was? Madness!

The hounding out of Bill Bratt, a decent football man, and the way certain elements of the Fail support went about this disgraced their club.
Scum of the earth, reaping what they've sown.

I'd like the think Stoke's chances were edited out but they weren't.
Thordarson's teams never turned up against the Fail despite always being several places above them.
