It depends really. If the said manager spent £90m but got a fantastic return for that money then he would be a top manager. If that were the case the PC would probably reward the manager with support and loyalty and maybe even a few quid in the back pocket. Still not sure of your point?

A senior manager at any business would not be allowed to spunk that kind of money in the first place so its a mute argument.

Would he take the reins and intervene, or would he continue to let him fritter it away in the hope that eventually, the manager would straighten things out and see a return on his investment?

Again the manager of bet 365 is in the same position as Pulis both would have to get Coates permission for the expenditure and Pulis has had the chairman's permission and blessing!

A senior Manager at BET 365 has pissed £90m up the wall - What would be your reaction? Considering it's £90 million spent resulting in four seasons of Premier League football ... so say £30 million a year in tv revenue ... I'd say Mr. Coates would be happy to have made £30 million over four years ...

If you can't see that he and Stoke city as a club have had a very good return on the investment then you need to take a long hard look at yourself. We may be playing shit at the moment but you need to get a grip. If you are going to try and be intelligent and post sarcasm at least get some help from a grown up.

What do you think? and an income of approximately £50m for every season spent in the Premiership. +1 I'm not sure but considering the increased revenue the club is making and has helped to make for bet365 (publicity), I doubt Coates has invested much of his personal fortune in the club since we've been the Prem, with the exclusion of the loans he's written off. Not to mention the profit he'll make if he decided to sell the club now that we're in the Premier League. He's basically putting in what he needs to, in order to guarantee the value of his investment/club remains high.

A senior Manager at BET 365 has pissed £90m up the wall - What would be your reaction? I presume he'd leave it to his daughter to take whatever action she saw fit. She is by far the largest shareholder in Bet365, as well as being the driving force behind the company.

Another question. A senior manager vastly overpays for some office equipment which is nearly clapped out and will have no resale value. He bought this off a dodgy cockney spiv who happens to be his neighbour and best mate. This mate has been in court for selling the same office equipment earlier and somehow go let off.
Do you investigate this or do you pass it off as a series of unfortunate coincidences?

Managers have got to wheel and deal at the best (and worst!) of times.
Ron Atkinson sold a player for a lawnmower once when he was manager at Kettering. (also ex-manager Manchester United, Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield Wednesday, Atleticio Madrid, Coventry.. and Kettering )
Quote from Football365, May 2005. Interviewer "I read on the back of a beermat that you once swapped a player for a lawnmower, is this true and, if so, did it turn out to be a good deal? Big Ron, "Yes, very good deal. The footballer played about four games for his new club while the lawnmower lastest ten years and got a testimonial..."
