Would of been better if they hadn't beat us 5-0 in the prem

Disappointing in the Prem, but that wasn't at Wembley or on TV watched by the world!!

Unfortunately I couldnt get a ticket so sat in my local pub in Southampton watching it.
Unbelievably the bar manager was a Bolton fan lording it up that they were gonna trounce us.
He fucked off midway through second half never to be seen again after the abuse I gave him.

'where you should have been' s'abit pretentious that.. why SHOULD people have been there? Perhaps some couldn't afford the trip/tickets etc. or just couldn't GET tickets. It saddens me that there were probably thousands of fans there who have only been interested since promotion and that somehwere, a lifelong fan didn't make it to Wembley.. But yeah. I was there

i was at that crappy 70s nightclub just across the road from the stadium before the game (3 pints for a tenner and a couple of hundred singing Delilah in the glorious sunshine in the car park/ "Beer garden") and then enjoyed the most surreal afternoon of my life sitting on the back row behind our goal in the first half (amazingly good views considering how far back/high up we were) and almost fainted with disbelief when KJ scored.actually turned to my mate and asked if it was really happening when we went 3 up in half an hour!!!
unbelievable day and got home just in time to watch the highlights on telly.then watched the highlights 7 times the next day.still get goosebumps watching it now!
the final was disappointing (especially Stacey bloody Solomon) but was imensely proud of our boys and not ashamed to admit i actually was tearful at the final whistle. when a couple of the lads were sitting head in hands on the pitch and Ethers came on and lifted them up and they came and applauded the fans to one of the loudest Delilah's i've ever heard.amazing support to be that loud and proud after losing; no other teams would be like that and felt my heart swell with pride to look around the ground and see our fans give a metaphorical bearhug to the lads on the pitch....regardless of what anyone else says though, apart from that, if you go to a final and lose, it is NOT still a great day out

I am 34 years old Nottspotter and was taken to my first match at the Victoria Ground at 4 years old. Not a "new" supporter!

I am 34 years old Nottspotter and was taken to my first match at the Victoria Ground at 4 years old. Not a "new" supporter! i don't think he was implying that YOU are.i think he's just pointing out that there was far demand than supply in terms of tickets so it's a simple fact there will have been "New" supporters who got tickets in place of lifelong fans. not a lot anyone can do though to be fair and hopefuly these "New" fans will now be lifelong fans themselves anyway....every lifelong fan is a "New" fan at some point, it's not like you have more right to be a fan because you happened to be younger than someone else when they started supporting and their coffers all help the club just as much as those who supported when we are at the VIC at the end of the day so that's all that really matters. people seem to forget that if it wasn't for these supposed "Glory hunters" we wouldn't get almost capacity in terms of home support at the Brit every game...not as if we had a full house 7 or 8 years ago is it. i also went to my first game when i was 4 at the Vic and wouldn't have missed an occasion like this for the world (and camped out for 16 hours at the Brit to get my ticket for it) but i see what he's saying in that a lot of people would have given their right ball to be there (and probably their left too!) but for various reasons just couldn't be....doesn't make them bad people, just people with other things in their life and people who were amongst the thousands who wanted tickets but unfortunately unless they increased the Wembley capacity just were never going to get them.

Was in a bar in Jakarta, having taken girlfriends mum home to visit family for the first time in 15 years. Checked the fixtures before I booked flights (third round weekend) and thought I could miss Wolves at home - never crossed my mind to look at the FA cup due to our record. Was back for the final though

I was on duty as an Air Traffic Controller at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan Luckily we had it on BFBS, so I could pop out every 10 mins or so to check the score. Even better was the fact that one of my oppo's was a Bolton Fan ;D I can still here him calling me with updates as the goals went in ;D

Best day of my life, at half time i genuinly had to go on the sky sports app on my phone to double check the score to check i wasnt dreaming. Better than getting promotion to the prem, as im a little bit older and remember wembley like it was yesterday. Be loyal, be proud, be stoke.

Anyone remember the footage of Gudjon stood on the pitch admiring the support at Wembley after our Autoglass trophy?
The feeling I got when walking from the concourse into the stadium for the first time on this day was exactly like that, fantastic to see all the Stokies there.
My only worry came afterwards when I started to worry about getting tickets for the Final, thanks to some extremely kind people on here, after 2 or 3 weeks of panic I managed to sort it, thought I was going to have to send the kids in and watch it in a pub at one point.

yes i was there, have lost count how many times ive watched the highlights. Ditto. Every time I find something new about it too! I love the noise when Huth scores, the commentator's talking over Ether's goal but Huth's you get a split second of pandemonium, brilliant!

i loved the commentary after Walters' first goal: "If you're going to seal your place in your first FA Cup Final then do it like that!"

Somebody on here has a gif which shows Huth wheeling away after scoring and in the background you can see the Stoke end at the exact moment they erupt, quality stuff Mick!
Can't think who it is though?
