With all the talk of the away leg this game seems forgotten!
So, anybody know how the ticket sales are going?
Surely we will sell-out?!

We will need the ground packed top the rafters because watching them now on sky they are a very very good side imo.

We will need the ground packed top the rafters because watching them now on sky they are a very very good side imo. They seem very good attacking wise...But i think our defence are capable of handling them. There midfield look good technically but aren't very physical and our way of playing can break any defense down at the Brit, Just need to get hold of the ball!!

Got to capitalise there if we're to stand any chance.

I bought my ticket last night and there are still shed-loads left.
Valencia are a good side - but like most Spanish teams look fairly lightweight and susceptible at the back. I reckon we'll do them.

If the shoe was on the other foot, then I'm sure we would be highly critical of that club to have not sold out. However there are mitigating circumstances in this situation. As always Stoke in their infinite wisdom did not use any common sense when it comes to selling the tickets. Why did they ask season ticket holders to buy their tickets over xmas period and advertised it (and have continued to do so) very poorly to the point where on the website you wouldn't really know its going on?
Also the other more important issue as ever is price. Im not too sure you can quibble too much in the context of the game (given the calibre of opposition) but in the wider context it is ridicously expensive supporting stoke this season and people just can't find the extra cash needed for this game.
we will do well to sell-out in the next week

They looked very good v Barcelona in the home leg of the semi final of the Copa del Rey yesterday evening and achieved a 1-1 draw - Messi did miss a penalty
Valencia have 2 or 3 very fast and skilful forwards - we will need some pace at the back to keep up with them - especially on the right as their best play came from their left wing.
The stadium looked great - can't wait to be part of it, let's hope we are taking at least a 2-0 lead after the home leg and possibly more important, no goals conceded at home

If we can't sell out for a game like this, then any talk of the ground being extended anytime soon should be scrapped. We won't get many more bigger games than this over the next 5-10 years.

I was shocked at just how poor they both were. Agree about the stadium though it looked absolutley bloody immence and cant wait. If we are in one of the top sections i can see a few, including me needing oxygen!

I watch Valencia a lot being in Spain and they, like all Spanish players are damned good actors. If we are not careful at the back we will have players sent off and that could spell disaster!
That said there weakness is there defence so we should capitalise but we need to be very wary of there rapid attacking game. Soldado is awsome.

I had that problem too mate, what I ended up doing was adding the other people to my friends and family thingy. Then it allowed me to book mine and my familys all in one booking.

If we can't sell out for a game like this, then any talk of the ground being extended anytime soon should be scrapped. We won't get many more bigger games than this over the next 5-10 years. It won't be extended because the club realise we've hit a ceiling at around 25,000...the rest is made up of away support..hence our problem with selling out a massive game like Valencia I've been offered more complimentaries for this game than any other since we were promoted That says it all sadly

I have to agree, I watch a lot of Spanish football. They are a team who can play football on the ground, they're used to 'chilly' temperatures and they go down like they've been shot. They can not cope with set pieces but, this is where they tend to 'go down'.
