This is a game of no consequence whatsoever. Yesterday was a massive game as will be the Euro games. Our vision this season was; a) assure safety in the Prem (as good as done) then b) go for silverware in the cups A game in the Prem at Old Trafford must be close to our least important fixture this season. Play the reserves for this one TP, we have bigger fish to fry. Football holds no joy for you does it. I swear you'd be purring if we won every home game with 11 men on the line and a last minute penalty. In fact I may have stumbled across the second most effective way to win football matches. After pomo of course.

Normally I'm very pessimistic when play the top teams but for some reason I'm strangely optimistic. United are missing a few and they will be feeling the pressure after recent poor performances at home.
Having said that, if Woodgate is at RB then the floodgates could well open!!!!
Gonna have a sneaky bet on us anyway......you never know.

I will always and always will be negative when we play the big teams away from home simply because of how we set up and the past results. Therefore the score will be either 1, 2, 3 or 4 nil to United ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/4tzqvp1fxEemag_TAXLJ.gif)

Having lost ALL our Premier League games at Stamford Bridge, the Emirates, the Etihad and Old Trafford up to now, sooner or later we're going to get a result against one of these so called 'big boys' on their own patch.
Something in the water tells me that tomorrow will be the game to buck the trend with a 2-1 win.
You (might have) heard it here first!

I'm going to take a guess at the starting XI, please note this is NOT the team i would pick, but then again i'm not a football manager and i'm just guessing what TP will go for on Tuesday.

Sorenson Shotton Shawcross Huth Wilson Pennant Palacios Whelan Etherington Jerome Crouch Subs Begovic, Wilko, Upson, Whitehead, Walters, Fuller, Jones. Would've picked Wilko from start, but he struggles to play 2 games a week. 0-0 draw. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/ibnJJzaA6ZhfTOIekEAf.gif)

At £43 a throw, we had better have a go. It's all about mindset and they have to set their minds on winning

I've payed £43 for a ticket so i expect the team trying to attack and go for it like they did at Arsenal last season when we lost 1-0 , i doubt that will happen though

The media witch hunt will go against Stoke and Man Utd will be given a penalty for pushing/pulling in the box.
We may even get a player sent off.
All referees have heard for weeks now is how stoke players hold/push/pull in the penalty area, and how they cheat.
I fear that the ref will pander to this.

Having experienced and paid for the Man City Eithad debarcle really hope TP doesnt do same. Really think our best chance tonight is to give Jerome and Fuller a go up front and leave Crouch on bench. We will be playing on the break so we need two fast guys who can do things on their own. Playing a big guy means the rest of the team has to pass the half way line and support and that wont happen. Need to have a go at them as their confidence is really down, sitting back and their confidence will grow back.

I've also heard both first choice keepers are injured/ill. TBF if Tony plays the team like we all expect him to there could be a cardboard cut out of Papa Smurf in goal and we still wouldn't get a goal.

Unfortunately I think De Gea and Lindergaard missing will be of benefit to Man Utd as both are pretty shaky at the moment and low on confidence, the 3rd choice will see this as a massive opportunity to shine.

Lindergaard kept something like 6 clean sheets in a row, I'd hardly call him shaky, if De Gea hadn't have cost so much Linder would be 1st choice. I expect him to be in goal tonight.

Tonights a game of no consequence, if we sit back and defend for 90min we'll get hammered so we may as well just go out in full attack mode.

Shotton Huth Shawcross Wilson
Pennent Palacios Ethrington (fit?) Jerome Fuller Crouch
