Pennant class today. Looked every bit an International. Pulis should stop being so stubborn, he's behaving like a kid at school. Get over it TP and start Penaant every game

Something needs to be done he's our best attacking option and cant be left on the bench whilst lesser players start. If the fallout cant be sorted then we need to sell him and get in someone with similar and hopefully better qualities. We need good players and at the moment we have only one that TP will play. Lets be fair we had a bit of luck getting JP for about £1.8M, whilst the bloke refusing to play him has demonstrated on numerous occasions he can spend upto £10M on players not fit to lace his boots. We need Pennant in the team not in Coventry the manager needs to stop being a tw4t.

When did TP say "I will play anyone but Pennant"? He didn't. It's just Tony being melodramatic as usual so he gets the best reaction.

Pennant should be starting and its getting a joke now that walters who looks knackered is starting on the wing ahead of him! We dont need to be playing players out of position, as it is walters offered absolutly nothing on the wing but i never expected anything else from him when he was clearly hung out to dry

yep its pretty stupid not to play our best footballer too you don't know what's gone on! If you were Mancini, would you have played Tevez? There are situations when it's not always about picking your best team. If it's a football decision to leave him out, then I'll agree it's terrible. If there's something more going on then it's very difficult for us to judge without knowing the details.

yep its pretty stupid not to play our best footballer too my opinion - Im in Tony Pulis's corner but will give him stick when plainly he;s getting it wrong and- like the Woodgate debacle - not starting Pennant is plain dumb You should get in touch with TP and explain where he's going wrong with managing the players.

Of course - it must be the manager's fault! Can't be anything that one of 'the favourites' has done.
Sick of asking what the FACTS are that you all seem to know about the situation. I don't know what has happened - please tell me!
Just as a matter of OPINION, I might suggest that Pennant has a long history of 'second season' syndrome. However, it can't be anything to do with him - it MUST be the manager.
Give me strength!

After all he clearly knows fuck all as our disastrous season suggests.

Whatever floats your boat I suppose, to my eyes it was mostly dross with even a 3rd rate Championship outfit moving the ball more fluently than a Premier league team thats cost the best part of £100M to put together. Results don't change poor football and we're playing poor football consistently.

Does it make you feel important and tough to abuse me for having a different opinion to yours. Perhaps I should be scared eh lol.

For what its worth I think there is no rift between TP and JP...........
I think JP has some "problems" that may temporarily affect him........and TP and the club are supporting him
what goes on in the club stays in the club spring to mind????

Mate you've been looking for a reaction all afternoon with some of the crap you've been spouting so you can hardly be surprised. Looking for a reaction by having a different opinion to a section of our fans who think our manager is beyond critisism. How very wrong of me. I accept your opinion as your right, I might think its complete bollox but I won't resort to abusing you for having it. Some people believe theres more to football than the final score or the league table and they're feeling badly shortchanged by our manager, who's apetite for dross football is insatiable.

None of us expect 9/10 all the time fella but how long has it actually been since we had one. If you set out to play shite football, you'll most likely get a shite game. Is it really necessary.

Alster, our players we have played in the correct positions should be producing 8 and 9 out of 10 displays evey game, it winds me up something chronic when thousands of us know the team to put out, but, somehow we dont get it.... i know we are 8th but i think we could be higher, poss 6th.... Rant ova

Back to what the thread was about. I don't know whats happened however on the footballing side Pennant is probably the most skilful player we have. In my opinion he also fits into the system well as he gets back to support the rightback, a lot better than Etherington ever does and I'm not knocking Matty. Out of the two I think Pennant offers much more on the whole. He can hold the ball, make mazy runs and his crossing from movement and dead balls is magnificent.
Football wise he should be one of the first on the team sheet.
I love Walters however he's looked jaded for weeks. Maybe a spell on the bench would do him the world of good. We have enough striker to give him a rest, whats the harm in trying.
What ever the real reasons for Pennants non starting lets hope it's resolved soon.
